As Sadira grew older she coveted the Master's position with an all-consuming lust, pretending to love and respect her, but quietly plotting to seize control of the Red Eyes of Rylai. One night the Master took Sadira to a secret chamber in the caverns and showed her a beautiful gilded throne. This was the place where she came and meditated. She told her pupil that one day Sadira might sit in this chair, but that first she would have to earn the position of master through bravery and sacrifices. She would also have to learn to temper her recklessness. Eventually, the Master explained, the two would have a ceremonial fight in front of all the members of the Red Eyes and, if Sadira was victorious, then and only then would she be handed the spider necklace and the throne. Sadira pretended to accept these words, bowing low - then without warning, she lashed out with a hidden poisoned blade, slicing the Master across the cheek. Dropping to her knees, the Master grinned hideously, then with her final utterance said, “The spider has found its true home.” Sadira took the necklace from the Master's corpse and put it around her own neck. The spider on the necklace came alive, burrowing deep into her flesh and coming to rest next to her heart. This was how Sadira came to manipulate strings of spider thread and rule the Red Eyes of Rylai.

The same short sword is used for the Patroklos', Pyrrha's, Pyrrha Ω's and Hilde's battle styles, and the same katana is used for both Mitsurugi's and Yoshimitsu's styles. The dual swords for Cervantes' style only vary in size. Likewise, Hilde and Xiba share the same Halberd with different lengths to accommodate their own styles. Despite the similarities in their styles, Siegfried's and Nightmare's styles both have their own versions of the weapon. Interestingly enough, even though Dampierre cannot use The Master, a version of The Master exists in his style, enabling Edge Master and Kilik to copy his moveset. These weapons appear to resemble the weapons held by the statues in the stage Tower of Glory: Most Holy Dichotomy. Master weapons are unlocked upon reaching Player Level 25.

Michael is able to talk Torgo into letting them spend the night there, even though The Master does not approve. Torgo stumbles back into an area called the tomb where the Master and his wives stay in suspended animation. Torgo gets really handsy with the wives while they are in that state, and the women remember everything he says and does. They in turn report that to the Master when he awakens. The Master eventually decides that he's had enough of Torgo, and goes to fetch him from the Valley Lodge. Meanwhile the wives begin arguing, and soon the situation turns into a full on nightgown fight. The Master soon comes back with Torgo in tow and breaks up the fight. He has Torgo massaged almost to death by the wives, and then pulls off one of Torgo's hands by sticking it in the fire. The Master finally manages to corner the family in the lodge. He not only takes Margaret as one of his wives, but he also disgustingly takes Debbie as a wife also. Meanwhile Michael is at the Valley Lodge, having taken the place of Torgo as the one who takes care of the place while The Master is away.

When The Master hears about the Dark Figure, he actually faints about what would happen to the Mushroom Kingdom. Once Mario collects the first Rainbow Sphere, The Master wakes up. It is revealed he had been posing as the king of the Mushroom Kingdom to drill deeper into it's core, where he says holds the creation of all time. Although, this has been causing glitches in time, like creating the portal that brought Mario to that time. After a long battle, Mario defeats The Master. However, this incarnation was really the twelfth incarnation of the Master and he had used much of his regenerations in the past, it is unknown how. In the Master's first appearance in the TV serial "Terror of the Autons", he assists the Auton in their latest bid to conquer Earth. The Doctor took the Master's dematerialisation circuit from his TARDIS so the Master could not escape Earth. The Master would later reappear in "The Mind of Evil" serial, posing as a scientist who invented the "Keller Machine", which was in reality, a living alien. Roger Delgado reprised his role as the Master in many more appearances but he died in a car accident and the Master did not appear again until "The Deadly Assassin" episode.
  • Though they had been friends from childhood (TV: The End of Time, Death in Heaven) and schoolmates at the Academy (TV: The Sea Devils, The Time Monster, The Five Doctors) before falling out, the Master developed an intense hatred for and often sought to kill the Doctor, who came to regard the Master as his arch-enemy. (TV: The Deadly Assassin, Castrovalva, Time-Flight, Doctor Who) Despite this enmity, however, the Master and the Doctor would on occasion act as allies. (TV: The Claws of Axos, The Five Doctors, The End of Time, The Magician's Apprentice/The Witch's Familiar) The Master's diabolical madness was at least partially the result of a genuine malady in the form of a never-ending drumming sound that had been retroactively implanted inside his head by Rassilon and the High Council on the final day of the Last Great Time War to further their own goals. (TV: The End of Time)
