- Nurse Joy is the leader of the Pokemon Center.
- Nurse Joy is a worker at the local Poke Centre, widely known for her attraction to 10 year old protagonist, Ash Ketchum. Despite the obvious tension between the two when at the Centre, Ash remains oblivious to her feelings towards him. Nurse Joy writes about the young Ash each night in her clefairy-decorated diary. It us unknown whether she had previous relations before her sparking with Ash.
- Joy is an important character in the Police Acadamy series. She is kind and gentle, she's a nurturer who hates to use violence in any form. She is a supporting character and helps out Jenny she is her best friend. She also appears to be friends with Marble and Reggie. Joy is training to become a nurse and finally becomes a registered nurse at the end of Police Acadamy: Graduation. She becomes the first character aside from Jenny to be playable in a main game in Police Acadamy: Answers. She received her own spin off prequal Nursing School: The story of Joy.

Info | - Previously by Cyrus and now owned by Nurse Joy, Gwendela had moved away. This caused Sonrisa's Sunflora to become sad until they re-united.
- The Bulbasaur was one of the Mayor's Bulbasaur when he was a kid but was released because it wouldn't evolve. It was later found in the sewers by Ash, Tracey, and Misty which got the Mayor fired. It was later given to the Pokémon Center so it could have a home.
- Latias is a Dragon/Psychic-type Legendary Pokémon introduced in Generation III. Latias is Latios's female counterpart.
- Almost all Nurse Joys in Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh have a Chansey.
- She first appeared in the episode Cream of the Croagunk Crop! She wears a large pink bow on her head and has a slightly higher voice than a male croagunk. Hamilton's Croagunk, Craig wanted to marry her. Though she continues to refuse, Craig's Owner continues to argue. Chrissy seems to dislike Craig, holding tightly to Nurse Joy's leg.

- All Nurse Joys in Unova have an Audino. A Nurse Joy in Kalos can Mega Evolve hers.
- Mudkip was one of Nurse Joy's Pokémon to be given away as a Starter Pokémon. This Mudkip was cowardly and cried a lot when things wouldn't be what they should. In the end, Stephanie, a young trainer, chose the Mudkip.
- Originally to be used as a Starter Pokémon for trainers to choose, Torchic became more mean and independent, Torchic got out of the Pokémon Center and evolved. When Ash and Max hid it, Combusken got out and since it was very powerful, Nurse Joy decided it to use as a guard instead.
- This Drifloon is a Ghost/Flying-type Pokémon owned by Nurse Joy. Made its appearance in "Drifloon On The Wind!"
- These Magnemite are a group of electric/steel-type Pokémon owned by Nurse Joy. Made its appearance in "Get Along, Little Pokémon."
