  • Energy is a top secret thing that only Dick Cheney and the corporate executives in his energy commission are allowed to discuss. Not that Dick would ever run a secret organization hidden from the American people. It's really just another liberal political lie that the democrats are spreading to promote liars like Al Gore and other lies like global warming.
  • Every point of damage absorbed by Zarya's Particle Barrier and Projected Barrier increases the damage of her Particle Cannon. Energy is counted on a scale of 0 to 100 and degrades by 2 points per second. Energy level increases at 1 point per 5 shield damage taken. For every point of Energy, the Particle Cannon's beam damage increases by 0.7, and its grenade damage increases by 0.5. Zarya's Energy level is displayed below the crosshair. If the default crosshairs is enabled, a ring will surround the crosshair, getting thicker upon energy gain.

  • Energy is required for almost every psionic skill, especially for energy manipulation and construct creation. Paradigms may call energy different names but it is generally accepted that regardless of the name they function the same way. Energy, a non-physical substance, does not interact with the physical world. Through the use of psychokinesis one can cause an object to move, but beyond this it is unsure whether or not more advanced feats are possible.
  • Energy is a property of objects which can be transferred to other objects or converted into different forms, but cannot be created or destroyed.
  • Image:Energy icon.png Energy is one of two resources in Supreme Commander; the other is mass. Energy is required to build structures and units; it is also drained to maintain stealth/cloaking fields and shields, fire artillery structures and other things. Energy is produced by power generators or the resource allocation system implemented in ACUs and SCUs.
  • Without energy, the player cannot advance any further in the storyline as it is required to play crime scenes, which in turn rewards the player with stars, the main element of progressing in the game. Besides that, energy can also be used to achieve certain trophies.
  • Energy materials contain the essences of spirit and strength combined, and are colored purple. In Kingdom Hearts they are used as normal synthesis items, while in Kingdom Hearts II they are "modifier" materials that can be added to a recipe of the same rank to halve the materials needed to make it, and are usable once the Moogle reaches level 2, Novice Moogle. In Kingdom Hearts II, once all Energy materials are obtained the Moogle will reward Sora with a Power Boost.
  • Energy is the smuggler's class energy pool. When there is low energy most abilities will not be able to be accessed. Energy can be recovered by Recuperation or waiting. "Your energy regenerates faster at higher energy levels. As your energy decreases, so does the rate at which it recovers. To maintain a high amount of energy, use Flurry of Bolts regularly to allow your energy to recover." ―In-game Codex (Game Rules)

  • Both Mining and Farming stations draw these amounts from a planet's reserves, which are replenished by orbiting Solar Satellites. The Class A satellites produce six units of energy daily and the Class B's make three on any world except arid Desert planets, which produce double the amount. For example a world having one Class B satellite covers the energy draw of two Class B stations, but no excess energy is generated. Periodically an Ion Storm can rage through your planetary system, either greatly adding to or halving all energy totals of all worlds depending on the type of storm; a Message Box update will inform you when this occurs.
  • Energy is necessary for the use of many types of gems, most often Black, Blue, and Red magic. It is not uncommon for Grey gems to cost energy, but the mana cost is usually much greater. Maximum energy is determined by the Physical Stamina stat, and energy regeneration is determined by the Physical Resilience stat.
  • Energy was the song representing Slovenia at the 2001 Contest in Copenhagen, Denmark. It was performed by Nuša Derenda. It was performed 17th following the United Kingdom and preceding Poland. • Energy (from Latin Energia and Greek Ενεργεια) is a measure of the ability to do mechanical work. It is a fundamental concept pertaining to the ability for action. In physics, it is a quantity that every physical system possesses. This quantity is not absolute but relative to a state of the system known as its reference state or reference level. The energy of a physical system is defined as the amount of mechanical work that the system can produce if it changes its state to its reference state; for example if a liter of water cools down to 0°C or if a car hits a tree and decelerates from 120 km/h to 0 km/h.
  • The abilities the player character learns are activated by using Energy Points. Energy Points are provided by the power suit's power generator. The accumulative power of the generator is represented by the Energy Points Regeneration characteristic, which determines the amount of Energy regained every second.
  • Energy is the capacity or power to do work, such as the capacity to move an object (of a given mass) by the application of force. Energy can exist in a variety of forms, such as electrical, mechanical, chemical, thermal, or nuclear, and can be transformed from one form to another. It is measured by the amount of work done, usually in joules or watts.
  • In physics, energy s a scalar physical quantity that describes the amount of work that can be performed by a force. Energy technology gives a permanent 5% bonus to all energy structures per level. Energy is one of the most critical technologies in the game, as it can quickly be researched to high levels due to a very small cost and gives a significant bonus to energy output. In the beginning stages of the game, this technology is crucial to research, as it is the prerequisite for Stellar Drive and Warp Drive.
  • The Energy element is one of the eight elements. Energy is based on the natural (and unnatural) electric forces that reside in Therica.
  • Throughout the day, your shop will be visited by heroes, who will buy or sell your crafted items. Heroes will remain in your shop until you sell an item to them or refuse a sale. Your energy is capped by the level of your Counter.
  • Energy is a source of power found in all things. This power is the bases of all forms of magick.
  • Energy is the primary source of action used in Torn. Usually, Energy is used for training at the gym, but can also be used for other activities. Energy replenishes at a rate of 5 energy every 15 minutes, with a maximum energy of 100.
  • Each character has Energy, commonly referred to by EN, which shows the state of the character's energy. If the Energy level (represented by a number) is above zero, then the character is able to continue without being forced to faint. Otherwise, the character immediately faints. The maximum amount of energy one character has is determined by the equation where STA is Stamina and FOR is Fortitude. EN regenerates at a rate of energy points per hour. Energy can be used to improve a character's damage during combat, or run faster, or to sacrifice for spells.

  • The player's health is represented by a number next to a beating heart symbol located on the upper right side of the screen. The heart symbol acts as a basic indicator for the player character's health and will alter itself accordingly. This works in two ways. The first involves the heart's size changing based on player's energy levels. A large sum of energy (50 and above) will yield a gigantic heart, an energy sum of 31 to 49 will yield a big size heart, an energy sum of 20 to 11 will yield a medium size heart, and an energy sum of 10 or less will yield a tiny heart. The second happens when the player character is caught in a Scare; the heart will become noticeably redder and beat rapidly and intensely with a big crack running through it. If Bonus Challenge 21 has been completed, the hear

  • Energy is the resource that characters use to activate powers in Champions Online. Most powers have an associated Energy cost, while some powers generate energy as their primary function, and others generate Energy under certain conditions. Powers can use Energy in a variety of ways. Click powers have a fixed base Energy cost. Maintained powers use more Energy the longer you let the power run. Charged powers typically use more Energy the longer you charge it before releasing it. Certain powers (or their Advantages can reduce the Energy of their target.
  • Energy is a Character Attribute that determines how much mana a character has. The higher the Energy attribute, the more mana points the character possesses. Experienced players do not generally invest very many points (if any) into the Energy stat, as additional mana is automatically granted merely by leveling up, and even more can be acquired from equipment. The class of the character decides how many mana points is one energy point, since it is different for each class. Characters will receive the following increases to their mana per point placed in Energy:
  • Energy is most often used in the context of energy resources, their development, consumption, depletion, and conservation. Since economic activities such as manufacturing and transportation can be energy intensive, energy efficiency, energy dependence, energy security and price are key concerns. Increased awareness of the effects of global warming has led to international debate and action for the reduction of greenhouse gases emissions. In the context of natural science, energy can take several different forms: thermal, chemical, electrical, radiant, nuclear, etc. These are often grouped as being either kinetic energy or potential energy. Many of these forms can be readily transformed into another with the help of a device; from chemical energy to electrical energy using a battery, for exa
  • Energy is the measure of a physical system's ability to do work. Although quantifiable, energy is not an absolute but must be measured with respect to a reference energy level (kinetic energy, chemical energy, thermal energy, etc.). Energy for a starship's purposes could be derived from many different reactions, the most common of which were matter-antimatter reactions and nuclear fusion, though like matter, it cannot be created or destroyed. Therefore matter-antimatter interactions release energy. Obsolete means of converting energy include combustion and nuclear fission. An antimatter reaction is always calculated using Einstein's equation, E = mc2. In theory, the combined annihilation of one kilogram of antimatter with one kilogram of matter will produce 1.8×1017 joules of energy (180 p
  • Energy is a vital source of life, and without it we simply wouldn't exist. Energy can take on multiple forms. And some metahumans have the ability to manipulate it. This super power is called Energy Manipulation, which can be used in a variety of ways, such as the creation of Energy Constructs, and the ability to absorb, negate, transfer and even project energy. People with the ability to project energy, such as Darkseid, who uses the Omega Effect, are able to project deadly bolts of energy.

  • All characters have an innate energy capacity of 20. This doesn't change based on level, but can be increased via certain armor pieces, weapons, weapon upgrades, or in the case of Elementalists, increasing the Energy Storage attribute. All standard Warrior armor sets provide no modifier to maximum energy, while all Ranger, Assassin, and Dervish armor sets provide +5 maximum energy. Most sets of spell caster and Paragon armor provide +10 maximum energy. The Radiant Insignia also provides energy in an amount dependent on the body location of the armor it is applied to.
  • Energy is a resource used to fuel the basic abilities (ultimates are free of cost) of certain champions in place of mana. It is represented by a bar instead of . Since regenerates much faster than , champions are not at the risk of depleting their resource over time. However, due to the maximum amount of energy being capped at 200 (or 400 for File:ShenSquare.png Shen) with no growth per level, their ability combos can deplete energy in an important situation and leave them unable to cast spells for a few crucial seconds while their energy regenerates (unlike champions, whose increase, nullifying this problem as the game goes on). To aid this, they all have abilities that can refund a small amount of under particular conditions, if the actions are executed properly.
  • Energy is the nuclear power source of all robots in Metal Arms: Glitch In The System, and the source of players' health points. Appearing as a glowing green Bohr-model nucleus atom, it can be found all over Iron Star, and when Glitch takes damage, he loses Energy, and must find more to stay alive. It can be found in many locations. Killed enemies will occasionally drop Energy, it can be purchased from Shady and Mr. Pockets cheaply with Washers, starting a new mission refills your Energy, and it can be found simply lying on the ground.
  • Buildings and defenses consume energy, except for the Power Plant and the Advanced Power Plant, which produce energy. Some structures can be powered down. When powered down, they do not consume energy, but they also lose some functionality. If the net energy is below zero, the player enters a Low Power state. In that state, production speed is significantly reduced and some structures lose functionality. The following defenses stop attacking in the low power state, or when manually powered down. * Tesla Coil * Gap Generator
  • Energy was a sphere of metaphysical law within Nosgoth, and one of the nine magical principles harnessed and governed by the Pillars of Nosgoth. Alongside its sister principle, Time, it was associated with the elemental force of Earth, which, in turn, was aligned with the overarching principle of Darkness.

The rate at which power regenerates over time increases with your Wisdom and Intelligence. If your encumbrance level is stressed, it will not regenerate. The Eye of the Aethiopica causes your power to regenerate at a much greater rate than usual.
  • Energy is a representation of the amount of special moves that a unit or vehicle can do. The amount of energy the unit has left is shown as the yellow bar in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen, underneath the health bar. Energy is used up by: * Sprinting (also, used as boost in a vehicle). * Rolling. * Using other special moves only available to certain units. * Using Force powers. * Jumping (doesn't decrease energy but stops it from recharging).
  • The question "what is energy?" is difficult to answer in a simple, intuitive way, although energy can be rigorously defined in theoretical physics. In the words of Richard Feynman, "It is important to realize that in physics today, we have no knowledge what energy is. We do not have a picture that energy comes in little blobs of a definite amount."
  • Jadeite was first assigned to collect energy for the Dark Kingdom. He usually looked for places where he believed he could collect energy from a large quantity of people. However, once the youma assigned to the task was defeated, usually the energy collected would vanish from his possession. After his death, Nephrite was assigned to collect energy. However, unlike Jadeite, Nephrite tried to collect energy from a single human, after sending a youma to raise the human's energy by causing their interests to become obsessions, and once their energy reached its peak, the youma would take form and absorb the human of energy. Like his predecessor, once Nephrite's youma were destroyed, the energy they stole would be restored to the victim. Queen Beryl used the energy collected to awaken (though no
  • Energy, or Life Energy, refers to the life-force or durability of a being. Metroids are able to draw pure energy from their prey. In Super Metroid and Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, Space Pirates, Galactic Federation Marines, and random wildlife can be found with their "life energy" drained, likely by Metroids. The brittle remains crumble to dust on contact. This gives an indication as to what happens to something with its energy drained. Oddly, in Super Metroid, even a Torizo is found drained of energy, despite being largely mechanical; the only explanation for this is that the Torizo, like the Chozo Statues, must be organic to some extent. If Samus ever runs out of energy, she will die, triggering a Game Over. To stay alive, she must regularly keep her energy levels charged by collecting E
  • Some resources in SWG can be used as a power source for harvesters and factories. The Potential Energy (PE) property of the resouce determines how effective it is as a power source: * resources with a PE between 0 and 500 provide power at the nominal rate where one unit of the resource provides one unit of power. * resources with a PE above 500 provide PE/500 more power per unit.
  • In 2005, Obama introduced legislation that provided a tax credit for up to 50% of the cost of installing an E-85 pump. Obama passed the tax credit as an amendment to the 2005 transportation bill. The amendment was not included in the final version of the bill but was signed into law as part of the Energy Policy Act of 2005. The AP reported, "Under the provision, gas stations would get a tax credit to install equipment accommodating E-85 - an ethanol-based fuel alternative that its promoters say is up to 50 cents cheaper per gallon than unleaded gasoline. The credit would cover 30 percent of the installation costs at a given station up to $30,000...Freshman Sen. Barack Obama introduced the tax-credit measure in the Senate in the spring, and it was co-sponsored by Illinois' other Democratic
  • The energy level is displayed in the game's options screen and is displayed (along with the World Map, compass and the Home Teleport) on the top-right hand corner of the minimap. These values show how much longer a player can run. Players can switch this option on to run everywhere they go, or they can run to one particular destination by holding down Ctrl when they click to move (see Game controls). Free players and players with Agility level of 1, have a recovery rate of 0.45 energy per second.
  • Energy is a way of determining whether you're up for it or not. Measured in nergs, your energy scales from 0 to 100 nergs. 0 nergs means you're dead, 100 nergs means you're irritating the hell out of everyone with your preppy sporty 'I can do anything me' attitude. Clams farting creates energy. Most people have around 20-30 nergs available at any one time. This is sufficient energy to walk to the kitchen and grab a coffee and a biscuit, but not enough to take the rubbish out. Doctors agree that using too much energy is likely to cause tiredness and flatulence.
  • The number of energy points required varies between pictures/puzzles (with the pictures/puzzles you unlock at highest levels costing the most for each play) and also increases as the level of the picture/puzzle increases. Pictures that contain anomalies cost additional energy points to play, unless you banish the anomaly before playing. You can find your current number of energy points at the top centre of your Home Desktop (number 5 in the Home Desktop picture to the right).

  • We’re currently hunting for the best and most appropriate strategies to bring low-cost, environmentally sound energy sources to Duff Young towns in Liberia and beyond. The benefits of affordable energy are numerous, as many energy development projects have proven; lighting improves literacy and nighttime safety and productivity; energy powers machinery for micro-enterprise such as sewing machines and ice makers; energy allows refrigeration, bringing safer food and preserving life-saving vaccines. Our research has also shown that not only is providing energy critical, but also the training and education of the local population on how to use and maintain their energy sources so that the benefits are sustainable. Here are a few existing projects and companies who have influenced our thinking
  • Different forms of energy include kinetic, potential, thermal, gravitational, sound, elastic and electromagnetic energy. The forms of energy are often named after a related force. German physicist Hermann von Helmholtz established that all forms of energy are equivalent — energy in one form can disappear but the same amount of energy will appear in another form. A restatement of this idea is that energy is subject to a over time.
  • Energy is an in-game resource that is consumed each time a player initiates a battle during a . 10 Energy is required to initiate one combat. Energy is consumed when combat is started. Energy is tracked on the Energy Bar, which has a maximum of 60 Energy and cannot go over it. The Energy Bar is refilled at a rate of 1 Energy every six (6) minutes, or 10 Energy per hour. It is also refilled completely each time an Agent levels up. The number of energy in Refilling Energy popup displays the highest digit (e.g. x10000 2 Energy will display as x1000).
  • In House M.D. - Critical Cases, energy is a basic resource that is usually required to carry out one of the tasks required in the game. Energy is shown in a bar in the upper left side of the game panel. Depending on the player's level, the energy level will not exceed a certain level. The player gains one energy point in the normal course by waiting a period of about 2 minutes. The energy costs for certain game functions are: Energy cannot be purchased directly with Budget

The far right resource shown is Energy displayed as numbers x/y. Y would be the combined output of your Solar Plant, Fusion Reactor and Solar Satellites. x is the remaining unused (excess) power.
  • Sims' energy slowly decreases while they are awake. If a Sim runs out of Energy, he/she will collapse from exhaustion and fall asleep on the floor. Sims can replenish their energy by sleeping. Toddlers will awaken whenever their Energy bar reaches 100%. If an older Sim's energy bar reaches 100% before midnight, the Sim will either awaken when it becomes full, or will awaken at midnight. Otherwise, children, teens, young adults, and adults will usually sleep until 6:00 am (06:00) unless they are awakened earlier, though they will automatically wake up when their Energy bar is at 100% if they have other actions queued up by the player. In addition, if Sims with full Energy bars have autonomous reactions pushed on them, they may wake up. Elders who are asleep past midnight will usually awaken
  • A Temple produces one unit of Energy, as does each Generator. This Energy pulses from the source, in a fixed-range circle, and feeds any unit built within the circle. Left-clicking on a Temple or Generator will display the limits of its Energy influence. Note: Although unit construction requires Energy, their operation does not. Once placed, Battle Units will fight, Transports will Transport and Generators will generate -until destroyed- regardless of whether there are Energy sources nearby. Look in Book Seven for a complete listing of the Energy requirements for each Battle Unit.
  • If the player is ambushed while traveling through the map in the story mode, the player does not lose energy if they win the duel. However, should they lose, an amount of energy corresponding to normal energy requirements will be subtracted from the player's energy pool. 1 point of energy is regenerated every minute, and can be increased to a maximum of 100. Energy also can be earned through gifting, completing some game objectives, and purchasing energy packs. Leveling up also adds 100 to a player's maximum Energy.
  • Energy is an attribute that is exclusive to NPCs and is invisible to the player in the game (much like Aggression, Confidence, and Responsibility). Energy relates to how much the NPC moves around while in combat. Characters with an energy level of 100 or greater (anything above 100 has no extra effect) will move around constantly, making them near-impossible to hit. Characters with an energy level of 0 will stay in one position as long as they are in a position to attack (for example, marksmen and casters with target spells will stay in the same spot, but melee fighters and touch-based casters will run up to their opponent to hit them, making them easier to fight).
  • Energy that gave birth to Life on earth is a living ocean. It is an ocean of creative energy. It never is static. Even when it is static, its repose contains potential energy. Energy in potential grows in potency. This ocean of energy is the source of all energy in the universe. All forms of energy are only various vibrating frequencies of this ocean. Physical energy, vital(life) energy and mental energy are only its various expressions in the physical, vital and mental planes.
  • In physics, energy is a property of objects, transferable among them via fundamental interactions, which can be converted into different forms but not created or destroyed. The joule is the SI unit of energy, based on the amount transferred to an object by the mechanical work of moving it 1 metre against a force of 1 newton.
  • In the game of Island Troll Tribes, energy is one of the three survival stats which a troll requires in order to stay alive. It slowly decreases over time, and upon reaching 0, the troll will die. In order to replenish energy, players must use their sleep outside ability (dangerous as it reduces other stats by 20), or the sleep ability of either a Tent, Troll Hut or Mud Hut. As a precaution to energy loss, some players bring mana potions, which is also a useful safeguard against the infamous Hypnotist class.
  • Seabases require Energy to produce breathable air and to power appliances such as the Fabricator and Alien Containment. Seabases will draw power from internal generators (Nuclear Reactors or Bioreactors) installed inside the base and from any external generators (Solar Panels or Thermal Plants) within power transmission range. Power transmission is represented by a thin glowing blue line connecting an external generator to the base. The Power Transmitter can be used to connect generators to bases across greater distances.

As of the update on September 5, 2012, a player can carry more than 32,000 Energy without any problems. On Kongregate, as of the update on July 25, 2013, the regeneration and maximum regeneration of energy was doubled to 2-200 points per minute. In addition, for both Facebook and Kongregate, Treasure Chests no longer cost energy to open.
  • Energy is the fuel we need from food to function and be active. Energy requirements vary depending on your age, body size and physical activity. It’s important to monitor your energy consumption as too much energy can lead to weight gain.
  • Energy works similar to Stamina, except it increases the maximum MP your character can have. Energy is necessary to use skills and spells, and all job classes have it, but the Mage job class needs it the most. Energy also effects the amount of mana regeneration a character has. X Energy = Y Mana Pool
  • Every healthy individual in a community must spend at least 4 hours a week for producing energy.

  • Energy is a concept in physics which is sometimes described as the ability to do work, although energy can take many other forms as well. The SI unit for energy is the Joule, although in quantum mechanics the electronvolt, equal to the energy of the fundamental charge at a potential of one volt (1.6×10−19 Joules), is more commonly used.
Each Agility level above 1 that a player has seems to reduce the time required to regenerate energy back to 100% by 1 second. For example, a player with 70 Agility can fully regenerate run energy to 100% after about 1 minute 47 seconds while a player with 90 Agility can fully regenerate to 100% in 1 minute 27 seconds. Clicking rest will allow the player to sit down and recover run energy at a much faster rate (2.8 energy per second instead of 0.45 for level 1 Agility).
  • Energy is a commdity used in pardus. It has a wide range of uses and is naturally found in Energy fields.
  • Energy is a liquid substance found in the Game Grid and the Tron system, used as a fuel for vehicles and as a vital nourishment for all programs. The terms "energy" and "power" are used interchangeably in the computer world, and power gained by consuming liquid energy can be transferred to other beings or devices, particularly by users.
* Tesla Coil * Gap Generator The following defenses are not affected by low power and cannot be manually powered down: * Pillbox * Camo PillBox * Turret * Flame Tower * Sandbags * Barbed Wire * Concrete Wall The Radar Dome stops displaying the minimap in the low power state or when manually powered down.
Elders who are asleep past midnight will usually awaken shortly after their Energy bar reaches 100%. In The Sims 3, the player can drag the action handle to specify a time for the Sim to wake up. Sending a Sim to work or school with low energy will harm their performance. While they won't collapse from exhaustion away from home, they may do so as soon as they return. In The Sims 2: University, a Sim that gets very tired while eating will fall asleep face first in their food. Oddly enough, they will still eat it afterwards. In The Sims Social, this need was renamed to Sleep, possibly to avoid confusion with Energy in that game. If a Sim needs a quick boost of energy, they can drink coffee or espresso. Children cannot do this, but with The Sims 2: Seasons, they can get some energy by drinking hot chocolate from the Perfect Packets Hot Chocolate Maker. Sims can get coffee from a coffeemaker or an espresso machine. Sims can buy an espresso from the espresso bar while on community lots, but they may be better off going home instead, as coffee and espresso decreases bladder, and may have other side effects. Sims also gain a small amount of energy from sitting down. Sims can nap on lounge chairs, recliners, and sofas, but it doesn't replenish energy as effectively as sleeping in a bed, and active Sims may wake up before they're fully refreshed.. In The Sims 3 and The Sims 4, Sims will automatically wake up from a nap after a few hours, with a Moodlet that counteracts the effects of low energy. Sims will not die from exhaustion, though if they become extremely tired while in a pool, they can drown. They will normally get out of the pool autonomously before this happens unless they are prevented from doing so, such as by removing the pool ladder.
  • In physics, energy (from the Greek ἐνέργεια - energeia, "activity, operation", from ἐνεργός - energos, "active, working") is a scalar physical quantity that describes the amount of work that can be performed by a force, an attribute of objects and systems that is subject to a conservation law. Eight different forms of energy exist to explain all known natural phenomena. These forms include (but are not limited to) kinetic, potential, thermal, gravitational, sound, light, elastic, and electromagnetic energy. The forms of energy are often named after a related force. Any form of energy can be transformed into another form, but the total energy always remains the same. This principle, the conservation of energy, was first postulated in the early 19th century, and applies to any isolated system. According to Noether's theorem, the conservation of energy is a consequence of the fact that the laws of physics do not change over time. Although the total energy of a system does not change with time, its value may depend on the frame of reference. For example, a seated passenger in a moving airplane has zero kinetic energy relative to the airplane, but non-zero kinetic energy relative to the Earth.
The principle of Energy concerned the capacity for activity and exertion in Nosgoth's agents, organic and artificial alike. The Dimension Guardians, culled by the Pillars, could use their abilities to instill power in objects and devices, and were charged with ruling over the wild arching power that spawned the storm and sparked life itself.
  • Energy is a type of material used in crafting various items.
  • There are several ways to gain energy. Food and medicine give different amounts of energy when consumed. Also, each visit to the Beach gives you 5% of energy. Only the main Beach screen does this, and not the shops inside. When your energy is low, a message appears on screen telling you to recharge by eating at Sky High Snacks.
In the Facebook version, 2 Energy can be gifts to friends. One Full Energy is also available as a Daily Reward.
  • The question "what is energy?" is difficult to answer in a simple, intuitive way, although energy can be rigorously defined in theoretical physics. In the words of Richard Feynman, "It is important to realize that in physics today, we have no knowledge what energy is. We do not have a picture that energy comes in little blobs of a definite amount." However, it is clear that energy is always an indispensable prerequisite for performing mechanical work, and the concept has great importance in natural science. The natural basic units in which energy is measured are those used for mechanical work; they always are equivalent to a unit of force multiplied by a unit of length. Other equivalent units for energy are mass units multiplied by velocity units squared.
  • Energy is the unit that defines how many actions your hero can make in a period of time. The maximum unbuffed energy your hero can have is 200. Energy is used for all 4 types of Hero Missions. Lumbering, Searching, Adventuring, and Training. Energy is also needed to attack other players castles. You regain energy at the rate of 5 per hour.
  • Energy is a legendary element.
  • Energy is the rogue's and monk's equivalent of the caster's mana and the warrior's rage. It is also used by the druid's Cat Form and death knight ghouls. Energy is required for the execution of many rogue abilities and Cat Form abilities, although standard melee attacks don't depend on it at all. By default the energy bar is full, with 100 points of energy. Energy regenerates at a fixed rate of 10 energy every second, in and out of combat.
  • Your power, or "Pw", is the amount of magical energy you have: Dlvl:3 $:43 HP:68(68) Pw:13(18) AC:-3 Xp:8/1295 T:2358 The above status line shows a character whose current power is 13 and maximum power is 18. Power is consumed by casting spells, at a rate of 5 times the spell's level. When carrying the Amulet of Yendor, you will expend a random amount from 1 to 3 times the norm. If you fail to cast a spell due to failure rate or confusion, you expend only half the energy required for a success. When you have teleportitis, self-teleporting with ^T always consumes 20 power points, but random teleports consume no power. Power can be regained slowly over time, quickly by quaffing a non-cursed potion of gain energy or with The Mitre of Holiness, and fully by reading a scroll of charging while confused. The potion also increases your maximum power; the scroll does so only if your power is already at maximum when you read it. Eating a newt corpse occasionally raises your current Power by 1-3 points, with the message "You feel a mild buzz" The rate at which power regenerates over time increases with your Wisdom and Intelligence. If your encumbrance level is stressed, it will not regenerate. The Eye of the Aethiopica causes your power to regenerate at a much greater rate than usual.
  • Energy is a non-tradable currency acquired from various sources detailed below, and that can be spent in various ways, from battling in the Battle Arena or Plains, to upgrading a Mech's base stats, or even working for Credits at Mech Donalds or the Bar.
This means that 3000 units of a PE 100 resource, 3000 units of a PE 500 resource, and 2000 units of a PE 750 resource all provide the same amount of power. So the rate on a PE 628 will have ~1.25(1&1/4)/unit, so 4 units is~5 power. The formula looks like... PE (over 500) / 500 = Energy; or on PE's < 500, it's PEx1 = Energy.
  • Pokerface, me just wander pönder!
  • RED BULL!!!!!
A special case is exhaustion, which temporarily lowers the maximum amount of the player's energy. It is caused on its caster by many elementalist spells and can also be inflicted on a foe by skills of other professions. Any temporary effects on energy capacity also modify current energy by the same amount, albeit also temporarily. For example, if a character with 15 of 40 energy has his maximum energy reduced by 12 (perhaps by unequipping a focus), he would then have 3 of 28 energy. It is possible to reduce current energy below zero in this manner. In such a case, the UI will indicate the character has zero energy until his energy is once again greater than zero (cause by any means, whether by equipping an item, natural energy regeneration, or other sources of energy). This is often used to "hide" energy so that it cannot be lost due to hostile skills such as many Mesmer spells.
Note: Energy Points are different to Strength points. Using weights that restore strength points will not increase your energy points. Strength points are used to charge your friends pictures and awards when visiting them.
Many of these forms can be readily transformed into another with the help of a device; from chemical energy to electrical energy using a battery, for example. Most of our available energy comes from the sun. The enormous potential for energy is expressed by the famous equation E = mc2.The concepts of energy and its transformations are useful in explaining natural processes. Meteorological phenomena like wind, rain, lightning and tornadoes all result from energy transformations brought about by solar energy on the planet. Life itself is critically dependent on biological energy transformations; organic chemical bonds are constantly broken and made to make the exchange and transformation of energy possible.
  • It is only after the members of his group are arrested that Energy reveals himself as he attempts to kill Shotaro for meddling in his affairs. He is defeated when Philip returns and joins with Shotaro to become Kamen Rider Double CycloneJoker once more, destroying the Energy Memory through the Joker Extreme Maximum Drive.
  • In physics, energy is a property of objects, transferable among them via fundamental interactions, which can be converted into different forms but not created or destroyed. The joule is the SI unit of energy, based on the amount transferred to an object by the mechanical work of moving it 1 metre against a force of 1 newton. Work and heat are two processes that transfer energy. The second law of thermodynamics states that all systems doing work lose some energy as waste heat. This limits the amount of energy that can do work by a heating process—a limit called the available energy. Mechanical and other forms of energy can be transformed in the other direction into thermal energy without such limitations. All of the many forms of energy meet certain conditions, such as being convertible to other kinds of energy, obeying conservation of energy, and causing a proportional change in mass in objects that possess it. Common energy forms include the kinetic energy of a moving object, the radiant energy carried by light and other electromagnetic radiation, the potential energy stored by virtue of the position of an object in a force field such as a gravitational, electric or magnetic field, and the thermal energy comprising the microscopic kinetic and potential energies of the disordered motions of the particles making up matter. Some specific forms of potential energy include elastic energy due to the stretching or deformation of solid objects and chemical energy such as is released when a fuel burns. Any object that has mass when stationary, such as a piece of ordinary matter, is said to have rest mass, or an equivalent amount of energy whose form is called rest energy, though this isn't immediately apparent in everyday phenomena described by classical physics. According to mass–energy equivalence, all forms of energy exhibit mass. Adding energy to an object by heating it will increase its mass; with a sensitive enough scale, this mass increase can be measured. Our Sun transforms nuclear potential energy to other forms of energy; its total mass does not decrease due to that in itself (since it still contains the same total energy even if in different forms), but its mass does decrease when the energy escapes out to its surroundings, largely as radiant energy. Although any energy in any single form can be transformed into another form, the law of conservation of energy states that the total energy of a system can only change if energy is transferred into or out of the system. This means that it is impossible to create or destroy energy. The total energy of a system can be calculated by adding up all forms of energy in the system. Examples of energy transfer and transformation include generating or making use of electric energy, performing chemical reactions, or lifting an object. Lifting against gravity performs work on the object and stores gravitational potential energy; if it falls, gravity does work on the object which transforms the potential energy to the kinetic energy associated with its speed. Living organisms require available energy to stay alive; humans get such energy from food along with the oxygen needed to metabolize it. Civilisation also requires a supply of available energy to function; energy resources such as fossil fuels are a vital topic in economics and politics. Earth's climate and ecosystem are driven by the radiant energy Earth receives from the sun (as well as the geothermal energy contained within the earth), and are sensitive to changes in the amount received. The word "energy" is also used outside of physics in many ways, which can lead to ambiguity and inconsistency. The vernacular terminology is not consistent with technical terminology. For example, while energy is always conserved (in the sense that the total energy does not change despite energy transformations), energy can be converted into a form, e.g., thermal energy, that cannot be utilized to perform work. When one talks about "conserving energy by driving less", one talks about conserving fossil fuels and preventing useful energy from being lost as heat. This usage of "conserve" differs from that of the law of conservation of energy.
The energy costs for certain game functions are: * Basic environmental scan - 8 points * Blood analysis - 5 points * Imaging - 5 points * Bonus environmental scan - 5 points * Defibrilation - 5 points * Meeting clinic patient - 1 point * Treating main patient - 1 point * Picking up a prescription order of any size - 1 point * Treating ward patient - 1 point Energy can also be gained by collecting energy items. A "coffee" can be exchanged for 2 energy points, and a "smoothie" can be exchanged for 50 energy points. These items can be purchased with House Credits. Energy cannot be purchased directly with Budget
Different forms of energy include kinetic, potential, thermal, gravitational, sound, elastic, light, and electromagnetic energy. The forms of energy are often named after a related force.
  • A nameless pet shop employee working under Santa-chan, who goes by the alias of "Energy" (エナジー Enajī), is the true leader of EXE. He is user of the Energy Gaia Memory.
Lifepod 5 consumes power much like a seabase, but does not require a generator. It draws its power from three special "self-charging" power cells, which cannot be removed.
To stay alive, she must regularly keep her energy levels charged by collecting Energy Tanks to increase her capacity, or replenishing her energy with Energy Capsules or by using Save Stations. Her Energy Meter keeps track of her energy levels.
  • Energy or stamina is a representation of the amount of special moves that a unit can do. The amount of energy the unit has left is shown as the yellow bar in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen, just underneath the health bar. It first appears yellow, but as energy is used, it changes colors. It starts off yellow, but when energy is low, it becomes red, before finally, it becomes white.
Unlike , the maximum of a champion cannot be increased with items. Maximum can be enhanced with certain runes, and regeneration can be increased with certain runes and the File:Crest of Insight.png buff.
  • Energy is the rogue's equivalent of the caster's mana and the warrior's rage. It is also used by the druid's Cat Form and death knight ghouls. Energy is required for the execution of many rogue abilities and Cat Form abilities, although standard melee attacks don't depend on it at all. By default the energy bar is full, with 100 points of energy. Energy regenerates at a fixed rate of 1 energy every .1 seconds, in and out of combat. The size of the energy pool and the regeneration rate are both constant - they do not increase with levels, and are not related to any statistics. However, there are various ways rogues can improve these: * The consumable item Thistle Tea, which can be made by rogue cooks, provides 100 energy instantly on a five minute cooldown. At level 70, Thistle Tea gives 40 energy; at level 80, it restores 20 energy. * Pure Energy and Crimson Steer Energy Drink are both quest rewards that when used restore energy. * The Vigor talent permanently increases the energy pool by 10 points. * The Glyph of Vigor increases the energy pool by an additional 10 points if you have the Vigor talent. * The Relentless Strikes talent gives a 20% chance per combo point spent to restore 25 energy. * The Vitality talent increases the energy regeneration rate by 25% when maxed. * The Combat Potency talent regenerates energy on offhand attacks. * The Focused Attacks talent regenerates energy on melee critical strikes. * The Adrenaline Rush talent increases your energy regeneration rate by 100% for 15 seconds. * The Improved Sinister Strike talent reduces the energy cost of Sinister Strike. * The Arcane Torrent racial ability of blood elves gives 15 energy. Rogue equipment affecting energy: * Renataki's Charm of Trickery On Use: Instantly increases your energy by 60 (reduced by 2 every level after level 60). * Nightslayer Armor 5 set bonus: Increases your maximum energy by 10. * Bonescythe Armor 4 set bonus: Your Backstab, Sinister Strike, and Hemorrhage critical hits cause you to regain 5 energy. * Madcap's Outfit 5 set bonus: Reduces energy cost of your Eviscerate and Rupture Abilities by 5. * Assassination Armor 4 set bonus: Reduces the energy cost of Eviscerate and Envenom by 10. * Gladiator's Vestments 4 set bonus: Increases your maximum energy by 10. (Any combination of Season 1, 2, 3, and/or 4 will give the bonus.) Druids have much fewer comparable options: * The Ferocity talent reduces the energy cost of Claw, Rake, and Mangle by 5. * The Shredding Attacks talent reduces the energy cost of Shred by 18. * The Omen of Clarity talent grants a chance to reduce the energy cost of the next ability by 100%. * Malorne Harness 2 set bonus: Your melee attacks in Cat Form have a chance to generate 20 additional energy. * Thunderheart Harness 2 set bonus: Reduces the energy cost of your Mangle ability in Cat Form by 5. This was also the Siege Engines' resource type until patch 3.1.0. It is now Steam Pressure.
  • It is used by various enemies, including Belial, Chive, Crescent Unit Circulus, Experiment No. 119, Experiment No. 123, Experiment No. 124, G Paladin, G Purgatorio, Hippogriff, Horned Devil, and Lesser Demon.
On Iron Star, according to the Droids, Energy is made underground by the mysterious Morbots, and is what powers robots to move around and think, as well as providing a force field which holds the Droids' and Milbots' metal bodies together. Once a robot has no Energy left to keep it stable, a single hit from anything can destroy it. Droids and Mils keep their Energy in containers in their chassis called Batteries; most robots on Iron Star have one Battery, but Glitch can find up to 5 more throughout the game, and each one he finds will be full of Energy. It can be found in many locations. Killed enemies will occasionally drop Energy, it can be purchased from Shady and Mr. Pockets cheaply with Washers, starting a new mission refills your Energy, and it can be found simply lying on the ground. Energy from Glitch's Batteries is also the power source of the Mining Laser, although firing it uses so little Energy that the Mining Laser essentially has infinite ammo.
After the voting, it placed inside the top ten (7th with 70 points). The top ten placing meant Slovenia was allowed to qualify for the 2002 Contest.
Any form of energy can be transformed into another form. When energy is in a form other than thermal energy, it may be transformed with good or even perfect efficiency, to any other type of energy. With thermal energy, however, there are often limits to the efficiency of the conversion to other forms of energy, due to the second law of thermodynamics. As an example, when oil reacts with oxygen, potential energy is released, since new chemical bonds are formed in the products which are more stable than those in the oil and oxygen. The released energy resulting from this process may be converted directly to electricity (as in a fuel cell) with good efficiency. Alternately it may be converted into thermal energy if the oil is simply burned. In the latter case, however, some of the thermal energy can no longer be used to perform work at that temperature, and is said to be "degraded." As such, it exists in a form unavailable for further transformation. The remainder of the thermal energy may be used to produce any other type of energy, such as electricity. In all such energy transformation processes, the total energy remains the same. Energy may not be created nor destroyed. For example, a seated passenger in a moving airplane has zero kinetic energy relative to the airplane, but non-zero kinetic energy (and higher total energy) relative to the Earth. Energy is a scalar physical quantity. In the International System of Units (SI), energy is measured in joules, but in some fields other units such as kilowatt-hours and kilocalories are also used.
  • Energy (in the form of energy points, or EP, symbol: File:Icon-Energy 1.png) allows you to do various actions, such as clearing natural resources, planting crops, crafting some items in buildings, and other things. Your energy points are displayed in a bar at the top of the screen. The bar fills up on its own with time up to the current maximum natural energy points limit; the natural limit is raised slowly as you gain levels, starting at 15 EP and gaining one additional EP about every five levels. The natural limit can be exceeded temporarily by strategically eating Energy Food items or being rewarded energy through various means, all of which will pile onto the EP currently in your energy bar disregarding the natural limit. By eating Energy Food items you can gain energy quickly without waiting, as well as extend your energy bar above the natural limit, by eating an enery item while still having at least one energy point fewer than your limit. (Example: If you have a limit of 19, and your energy bar is 18/19, eating a +5 item will bring the bar up to 23/19.) Some quests also reward energy points, as does gaining a level, and digging up energy at your neighbors' stations, all of which will be added on top of your current EP. Clearing natural resouce objects and picking up expedition finds requires you to have either a EP bar limit or a temporarily enlargened energy bar equal or larger to the object, to be able to break it down or pick up the find. (Example: Having an energy bar of e.g. 10/25 or 25/19 allows you to take on a 25pcs resource object or pick up a 25kg expedition find.) Note that larger and longer comboclicks will give you larger expedition finds, containing more rewards while also being heavier.
Interestingly, Energy values of 0.01 nergs have been recorded in teenagers slumped in front of the television watching Friends. At this point its very hard to tell whether they are dead or alive.
Energy is an expression of Will and is released by will. The will is conscious in mind, subconscious in life expressing as instinct, and inconscient in matter expressing as fixed patterns of behavior and deterministic laws. In conscious acts of creation or manifestation, Involution, the Will is directed to become Force, the force expresses as Energy, and energy becomes form. In the Evolution of consciousness, contact of form with form releases energy, that energy meeting and clashing with other energies gives rise to sensation, sensation generates thought and thought releases consciousness.
  • Energy is required to make your mines and synthesizers work. Energy is produced by Solar Plants, Fusion Reactors and Solar Satellites. It is displayed in the top frame of the Interface. The far right resource shown is Energy displayed as numbers x/y. Y would be the combined output of your Solar Plant, Fusion Reactor and Solar Satellites. x is the remaining unused (excess) power. Energy is also required to research Graviton Technology and to upgrade the Terraformer and Space Dock. Energy costs only require the output of your solar plant, fusion reactor, and solar satellites to be at least that much to start the operation, and do not interfere with the energy that your mines and synthesizers are using.
  • The Energy element is one of the eight elements. Energy is based on the natural (and unnatural) electric forces that reside in Therica.
The Energy cost of a power can be reduced through a high Intelligence, and increased through Travel Power usage or hostile debuffs. A character's Energy pool is represented by a blue bar underneath their Health bar in the upper-left corner of the UI (by default), and increases with the Endurance statistic.
Here are a few existing projects and companies who have influenced our thinking on sustainable energy, and with whom we hope to work in the future:
  • Energy is a vital source of life, and without it we simply wouldn't exist. Energy can take on multiple forms. And some metahumans have the ability to manipulate it. This super power is called Energy Manipulation, which can be used in a variety of ways, such as the creation of Energy Constructs, and the ability to absorb, negate, transfer and even project energy. People with the ability to project energy, such as Darkseid, who uses the Omega Effect, are able to project deadly bolts of energy. Although energy is necessary, too much of it can be lethal. Radiation is an excellent example of this. Another example of harmful energy is heat, which can be deadly if the temperature rises too high. Similar is the aforementioned Omega Beams, which are deadly to most beings that are blasted with them. Even Superman cannot completely withstand such awesome energy, however, once when he was near the edge of the sun, his super powers were super-charged, and when he faced Darkseid, he was able to withstand the energy of his Omega beams, without it even harming him at all! However, energy from a yellow sun may be good for a Kryptonian, but too much energy is still not good for all people, at least not humans. One human, named Icy Harris was attempting to drain all of Superman's energy, but he didn't realize his fragile human body couldn't take so much energy and he exploded due to being overloaded.
  • Energy is the primary source of action used in Torn. Usually, Energy is used for training at the gym, but can also be used for other activities. Energy replenishes at a rate of 5 energy every 15 minutes, with a maximum energy of 100.
  • A Temple produces one unit of Energy, as does each Generator. This Energy pulses from the source, in a fixed-range circle, and feeds any unit built within the circle. Left-clicking on a Temple or Generator will display the limits of its Energy influence. To place units, you need energy, Each of the Furies produces a unique Energy, and specifically-aligned Battle units need their Fury's particular Energy, or else they can not be placed. For instance, to build a Thunder Cannon, (a Thunder Fury Battle Unit), two units of Thunder Energy and one unit of Sun Energy are required. That is to say, to build the Thunder Cannon it must be constructed in a place where three different Energy sources overlap. Sun Energy is another way of saying 'any Energy,' and may be supplied by any Generator. Hence, Sun Units (which require Sun Energy) can feed of any type of Generator.
Each mode of consumption consumes energy at different rates. Energy packs (often dropped by dead units; for infantry only) will give you an "Energy Regen", completely refilling your energy meter. Energy also recharges on its own, at a slower rate.
  • You may want many things to do with energy: * Efficiency * Energy Resources and Renewable/non - renewable energy * Energy Transfers * Energy, Work and Power
If Bonus Challenge 21 has been completed, the heart symbol will be gold in color. SmallHeart.png|A small heart BigHeart.png|A big heart Every time the player enters a room, he/she will be given a predetermined energy amount and the amount of energy he acquires or loses in that room will not carry over to the next. For the first 4 rooms of Chapter 1 and the whole of Chapter five, Cooper will have 50 Energy. At the start of the second visit to the Billiard Room, the Baron will tamper with the player's Energy in the very first few seconds of every room up until Cooper enters his quarters and defeats him. These selected energy amounts are the same each time the player replays a particular level, and can vary between 1 and 50. This only occurs in rooms 5-86 (that's still a good portion of the game).

  • Energy is a physical quantity and property of objects which can be transferred to other objects or converted into different forms. There are two main types: kinetic and potential. The dimensions of energy are [mass][length]2[time]-2.
In theory, the combined annihilation of one kilogram of antimatter with one kilogram of matter will produce 1.8×1017 joules of energy (180 petajoules).

  • The energy level is displayed in the game's options screen and is displayed by the minimap if the Dataorb option is toggled. These values show how much longer a player can run. Players can toggle this option to run everywhere they go, or they can run to one particular destination by holding down Ctrl when they click to move (see Game controls).
Beginners tend to die frequently from energy loss as it is harder to notice than health. Some players, when venturing far from their main base, tend to bring a tent kit with them, or use materials on other islands to quickly make a tent, in order to prevent death by energy loss. However, the abundance of food when moving nomadically often does away with the need for a resting place, and usually only the 'sleep outside' ability and a Fire is needed under such circumstances.
  • The energy is mostly powered by intense emotions as shown during Yusuke's and Kuwabara's attack on Gonzo Tarukane's stronghold when Kuwabara was angry for Yukina being torturted. This is also shown during Yusuke's final fight with Younger Toguro in the Dark Tournament when Toguro seemingly killed Kuwabara in order to bring out Yusuke's full power.
Queen Beryl used the energy collected to awaken (though not completely revive) Metaria. After her awakening, the Dark Kingdom shifted its goals from collecting energy to retrieving the Silver Crystal. Shortly after the Dark Kingdom was defeated, two aliens, Ail and An arrived on earth, bringing the Makaiju with them. In order to sustain the tree's life (and therefore their own), the aliens sent Cardians to collect energy.

  • It is the main resource that you need to continue entering PVE rooms like Nephthys dungeons, World Conquest dungeons, Tower of Dawn stages and Lost Island. Entering a dungeon will consume your energy but a portion of it will be returned if you failed to clear it. Every 4 minutes you'll gain 1 energy. Other modes also grant free energies such as Battle of Honor and Dimensional Breakthrough, hour attendance in the laboratory gives 50 energy twice a day and Guild attendances reward will also give free energies as a reward depending on guild attendee. Every time you gain a level you energy restores to max. There's an item called Energy potion that can also be used to fill your energy to max.

Characters will receive the following increases to their mana per point placed in Energy: * Amazon +1.5 * Assassin +1.75 * Barbarian +1 * Druid +2 * Necromancer +2 * Paladin +1.5 * Sorceress +2
Unlike aggression and confidence, energy cannot be modified by any in-game means (not even the console can modify energy). The only way to change a character's energy is with the Construction Set.
