  • A Misting that can burn atium is called a seer. They are the most powerful Mistings of all, though without steel, pewter, or other Allomantic abilities, they are only useful as strategizing soldiers.
  • A Seer was a job on Metru Nui normally occupied by a Ko-Matoran. Seers would sometimes spend their entire lives inside the Knowledge Towers, learning the future. There were seers on Mata Nui also, who studied the Wall of Prophecy.
  • The Seer is a radar vehicle capable of revealing enemy locations; because it is mobile, it can reveal enemy locations anywhere on a map without having to build Radar Towers in potentially dangerous areas, but it will not reveal the locations of units under the protection of a radar jammer. Its CORE counterpart is the Informer.
  • To start the Seers' Village Tasks, talk to any Seer in the village and to claim the Seers' headband 1, talk to any Seer like before. On the 23 January 2010, players all over RuneScape were lifted up by the Strange power. Afterwards, when players talked to Seers, the Seers would say "Uh, what was that dark force? I've never sensed anything like it...". This was later revealed to come from Daemonheim, as a teaser for the Dungeoneering skill.
  • Seers are usually someone with the ability to predict the future or see things hidden from mundane eyes, like a clairvoyant or a prophet.
  • Seers are NPCs who live in Seers' Village. These NPCs are also involved in the Scorpion Catcher quest when the player needs to obtain hints on where the Kharid Scorpions are located during the quest.
  • Benrime Salmin, who informs April of much regarding magic lore, is also the last in a long line of Seers. She describes a Seer as "someone who can tell something about people, about events, about the past and the present and the future, just by looking at you", and gives her identity as one in an explanation of why she knows April is what the Dark People call a Wave. This would seem to imply that the Dark People as a race are Seers.
  • The Seer, also known as the Witch, was an ancient and powerful Hylden met briefly by Kain in Blood Omen 2. She gifted him the Dark Gift Telekinesis and teleported him to the Device.
  • Two Seers, Ankh and Lakh, interrogated Herrick and devised a plan to blow up the R1C by disguising bombs as what appeared to be the Minyan race banks. Later, when the "P7E planet" was destroyed, all Seers apparently perished along with the planet. (TV: Underworld)
  • Seer is an enemy in Sinjid Shadow of the Warrior that appears during the Human Gateway.
  • The Seer refers to an especially ancient and powerful Elf, who occupies a position of great influence and responsibility in their community. With vast magical powers and knowledge, it is the Seer who guides his people and protects them from threats. When the Stone Emperor managed, through his devious planning and forbidden rituals, to kidnap and seal the Seer, the Succubus Chana was called frantically to fill in for him, and she managed to keep the Emperor at bay until help arrived. The Seer was subsequently freed through their efforts, and Chana returned the position to him.
  • The Seer is an intelligence unit for the Masari. She can see through stealth. Her aura cleanses friendly units and structures within 100 range of mind control and virus infections. Instead of attacking the enemy, she sight links, gaining access to the target's vision. The link is broken if the Seer moves. The link can be established from up to 500 range and maintained at up to 1,600 range.
  • Professor Trelawney inherited the inner eye from her Ancestor Cassandra Trelawney, although real prophecies made by her were rare.
  • The Seer is a playable profession in Rolemaster. Similar Professions are the Astral Traveller, Astrologer, Chrystal Mage, Dream Lord, Geomancer, Mentalist, Necromancer, Seeker. Seer may also refer to: * a wandering Fortune-teller * the Gildain or Astrologers * the Meneldili or Astronomers * the Nol-Mogg or Nandor Seers * the Seers of Arnor * the Seers of Mirkwood * the High Seers or Council of Seers in Gondor * the seers of truth or Priestesses of Kesht * the Twilight-walkers of the exiled men * the Urdharkonur or Wyrdtellers and wyrdwomen of the Northrons
  • Seerit ova Seer's Villagen alkuperäiset uudisasukkaat, jotka ovat miespuolisia
  • A seer is an individual with the ability to see or predict the future.
  • A Seer is a member of the Hork-Bajir race that is considerably more intelligent than their race. Apparently, on average, a seer is only born every 1,000 years (however this is not the case for Toby Hamee). They are treated with respect and are honored even by the elders. They usually assume leadership over the rest of the Hork-Bajir. Seers are actually a genetic anomaly of sorts, as the Arn, who created the Hork-Bajir were not entirely able to fixate the Hork-Bajir intelligence gene at their preferred level.
  • The Seer is a Magi from Naroom who lives in a boat house north west of Vash Naroom. He is a respected physician who goes by the titles of "Magnificent Magician" and "Omniscient Enchanter" due to his appraisal of his own abilities.
  • The Seer is the bearer of the "four eyes" and is the only being ever known to have killed a shinigami. As the godslayer, the seer is reborn each hundred of years.
  • A Seer is a gifted wizard or witch who has the ability to see into the future with their Inner Eye. Seers predict prophecies, which are then recorded and stored in the Hall of Prophecy in the Ministry of Magic's Department of Mysteries. According to Minerva McGonagall, true Seers are extremely rare. Albus Dumbledore once told Harry Potter that seeing into the future is incredibly difficult because of the complexity of every single action and their consequences. Centaurs are Seers with their own brand of Divination, which differs from that of humans.
  • The job in Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift has a slightly different Japanese name: .
  • The neighbor of a murdered woman claims to be a psychic who had a vision of the killing and tried to warn her.
  • Seer was a terran who lived in the Gutter, employed by the crime lord Fagin, though answered to his lieutenant Markus Ralian. When Fagin called his followers to defend his HQ from Nova, Ralian assigned Seer, along with Diva and Preach, to round up hab addicts for the defense.
  • Seers are the first type of Blotlings that Mickey faces only in Epic Mickey. They are walking eyeballs with froglegs .

  • The Seer (Japanese: せんかくしゃ Enlightened One) is the grandfather of the Move Relearner, who lives in Effigaunt City. He appears for the first time in Pokémon ShiningStar Version. The Seer is a special Move Tutor. Like the Move Relearner, he teaches Pokémon moves from their level-up learnset. However, he can teach a Pokémon any move from any of its learnsets in previous generations. He charges two Heart Scales per move.
  • The Seer is an accurate, heavy pistol of Grineer design utilizing Orokin technology, creating a unique hybrid weapon. It features innate magnification for aiming and a high damage per bullet but has a low muzzle velocity. It is used exclusively by Captain Vor. This weapon can be sold for ‍ 5,000. All parts can be acquired as end of mission rewards after defeating Captain Vor on Tolstoj, Mercury.
  • A Seer was any people gifted with the capacity of foresight. It was uncommon in Rokugan, but more common within the Phoenix Clan, whose blood bore strange magic from a time before the Empire. Powerful shugenja could coax visions of the future through strenuous effort, or the aid of divine powers, but few bore a natural ability to predict what was to be.
  • They are practitioners of magic that come in flavors of good and evil, and the shades of black and white. Some follow the Left-Hand and others the Right-Hand paths. ==Seers== * Seer of Daventry * Oracle of the Winged Ones
  • The Seers are mysterious humanoid creatures found in the later parts of the Prophecies campaign. They hover a few feet above the ground, are dressed in black, and have very dark skin, large eyes, small mouth, four arms, and a raspy high-pitched discordant voice. Their appearance is reminiscent of aliens from popular culture.
  • Seer is a term used to refer to beings with the psychic ability to foresee future events or become aware of contemporary ones without the mediation of the regular five senses. Seers obtain information of these events whether by mental flashes with sensory information (visions), through dreams (premonitory dreams) or through intuition alone. In the supernatural black market, the eyes of seers are highly valued, as they can be used as amulets in which the seer's powers are supposedly stored. The Enochian protection runes protect the bearer from being viewed remotely from them.
  • In a last-ditch effort to save his people if not himself, Asuryan, foremost of the Eldar Gods, imbued most of his powers into the surviving Eldar, heightening their psychic potential even further before he was devoured like almost all of the other Eldar Gods by the newborn Slaanesh. The Craftworld Eldar found such solace in the rigidly codified ways of life that are the Paths of the Eldar. All Paths, from the most common to the most esoteric, have a core function in common, namely to allow an Eldar to harness his or her innate psychic and emotional potential, use it safely w

As a result, he has kept Morgana's ability a secret even from her, and instructed Merlin to do the same.
  • When he was a military soldier at the Ogre War, Rumplestiltskin encounters an imprisoned young girl, a seer, who can tell the future. She tells Rumple that he will have a son but that his actions in this war shall make the boy fatherless. Rumple refuses to believe this and later sees a group of soldiers who are being sent home thanks to the extensive injuries that they received on the front line, meaning that Rumple is re-positioned to there. When one of the seer's minor predictions come true (that he will ride "cows", meaning the saddles on the horses, into battle), Rumple decides that her words were true and that his actions up at the front line shall leave his son fatherless. Fearing this, Rumple takes a mallet to his foot, injuring himself so that he may be sent home, he arrives to Mil
  • Seers are self-appointed religious authorities, operating outside normal churches. They can be found in the market places of any town, proclaiming their latest revelations to anyone who will listen. In an age of religious tolerance and competition, Seers may appear to be opportunists, poaching from genuine beliefs; in an age where mental illness is not fully understood, the Seer may more realistically be seen as an eccentric. Some of them may actually be divinely inspired; more often than not, though, they are either Charlatans on the make or completely unhinged.
  • Seer is a rare kind of wizard who don't get any spell of his own, has lot of magic energy and high resistance, and ability to see how magic works. Voltaire directly said Tedd is seer and Heka said that's the name for description Pandora gave him ... which was description of Tedd. It is likely that the "dangerous rarity" description Interdimensional Whale used for Tedd was referring to same set of abilities. Similarly, the rare type of wizard that wouldn't be affected by reset because they don't get spells in the first- the Disco Wizard from Grace's dream mentioned seems to be this.
  • There are two kinds of Seers. One kind uses a form of spellcraft to gain knowledge of other places and times. Some users of this form are naturally gifted with visions or prophetic dreams. Others still may require a small incantation to gain the ability. No matter which way the Seer learns with enough practice it would be impossible to tell the difference.

  • Has pensado alguna vez...
  • Race: elf (specifically, a drow) The Seer is the leader of the drow rebels, and a priestess of Eilistraee. She gathered several people to stand against the Valsharess, including Nathyrra and Valen and other parties that opposed the Valsharess such as house Maevir. In the Hordes of the Underdark campaign, the Seer asks the player, whom she had foreseen as their saviour to help the rebels in their fight against the army of the Valsharess.

abstract
  • The sorceress Nimueh also claimed to have the power of prediction (Le Morte d'Arthur). Another known Seer is Taliesin, who was the keeper of the Crystal Cave. Morgause might have been a Seer as well, as she told Morgana that she suffered from nightmares too. It is, however, possible that she just had normal dreams, without prophetic element (The Sins of the Father). According to Gaius, the gift of prophecy is considered a form of witchcraft in Camelot. As a result, he has kept Morgana's ability a secret even from her, and instructed Merlin to do the same. The ability to See appears entirely involuntary. Morgana says as much to Merlin when she indicates that she believes that magic may choose the person and not the other way around (The Beginning of the End). The dragon, Kilgharrah, was a seer and often spoke to Merlin of his destiny to stand by Arthur when he'd eventually become king. The Druids had a similar gift, being aware of Merlin's destiny in Albion. The Fisher King also was aware of Merlin's destiny, as well as Morgana's future crowning as queen, thus he gave Merlin the Avalon Vial to use it then. Besides foretelling the future, Seers appear to have similar abilities to those with other magic skills. For example, like Merlin, Morgana can communicate telepathically with others, such as Mordred, and can cast spells. The power of foresight is however not always helpful or harmless. It has been shown on more then one occasion that the very people who have a vision are the ones who are making them come to pass. Merlin made his own vision come true in The Crystal Cave. Gaius claimed that events seen in visions don't always come to pass, as a seer is just able to see one of the many possible futures. Morgause told Morgana a similar thing when she said that there are many futures in this world, some shrouded in mist and other as clear as cut glass. She warned her that the dreams she kept having about Gwen becoming queen where prophecies and she had to do whatever she could to prevent them from happening (Queen of Hearts). However, in the end Morgana was the one who indirectly made this future come to pass, by a consecutive chain of events that began by her enchanting Gwen to an adultery with Lancelot. A seer's dreams can be stopped from not making him/her sleep at night if an enchanted bracelet is worn, but this only stops simple visions and not prophecies.
After the horrors of the Fall, the few surviving Eldar realised that Slaanesh would not rest until it had devoured every last Eldar soul, and that they needed some form of protection to ensure their continued survival. The Craftworld Eldar found such solace in the rigidly codified ways of life that are the Paths of the Eldar. All Paths, from the most common to the most esoteric, have a core function in common, namely to allow an Eldar to harness his or her innate psychic and emotional potential, use it safely when performing his chosen role or craft, and keep it in check when not required; all this in order to avoid attracting the unwanted attention of "She-Who-Thirsts". Most Paths limit themselves to using an Eldar's already considerable innate psychic potential, and avoid the extremely dangerous business of drawing extra power from the Empyrean as a human psyker would. The terms "Seer" and "Path of the Seer" designate those Eldar who actively rely on drawing upon and harnessing Warp energy to fulfill their chosen function upon their Craftworld in an effort to aid their people. Each Seer explores his psychic potential in his own way. The range of a dedicated Eldar psyker's abilities are vast and largely depend on the previous Paths the Eldar explored before starting his journey down the Path of the Seer. For instance, a Seer having walked the Path of the Artisan might learn to move objects through the manipulation of kinetic forces and then adapt this technique as a Seer to create living symphonies of shape as well as movement, while another might instead develop his talents towards the use of empathic powers for healing purposes or to counsel others. The Path of the Seer is by necessity undertaken only after having already mastered at least one other Path, and often many more than that. No Eldar would ever be foolish enough to teach a raw youth who has not yet even mastered himself enough to complete one Path how to open his mind to the Warp. The visceral fear amongst the Eldar of taking any action that could draw the attention of Slaanesh is enough to frighten off all but the most self-possessed and steadfast individuals from the Path of the Seer.

While not seers per se, Slayers do experience premonitions, not just about the lives of previous Slayers, but also about future events as well.
Personality Even for a priestess of Eilistraee, the Seer showed an unusual amount of kindness and humility. Even in the midst of pressure from the Valsharess, the Seer remained composed. The Seer was also reluctant to keep the Mirror of All-Seeing and was stringent in using its full powers. She also wished to enlist the players aid through understanding and cooperation and was disheartened by the fact that a binding was placed on the player by Halaster. History: Not much is known of the Seer other than being a faithful devout of Eilistraee. She was responsible for converting many drow (including Nathyrra) into Eilistraee's followers and bringing together like minded drow who wished to return to the surface.

The Seer was subsequently freed through their efforts, and Chana returned the position to him.

To check the progress on your quests, bring the mouse pointer over the Accomplishments icon (but don't click on the icon) to the left of the Log Out button on the main game window. If you have a boss quest, there will be a brief description of where to find the boss within the zone mentioned. The Seer will offer you up to 3 possible collection and kill quests (but never for monsters that are 4 or more levels below your character level, i.e. grey to you), and up to 2 possible boss quests. It is important to note that if you wish to acquire a different collection, kill or boss quest, you can accept the first quest that the Seer gives you, and then ask for another quest before completing the quest you already have. However, this will erase any progress you may have already made on the collection or kill quest. You can re-acquire the quests you abandoned, as long as the abandoned collection/kill quests do not involve grey monsters. You may only complete each collection, kill and boss quest once in your first playthrough, and again after rerolling. You are not allowed to complete a particular quest more than twice (three times?) for a single character, regardless of how many times you reroll.

* Arcane Language: Magick * Divining * Magical Sense * 50% chance of Blather * 50% chance of Charm Animal * 50% chance of Public Speaking * Divination equipment (bones, sand-tray, dice, etc.) * Agitator * Astrologer * Charlatan * Diviner * Wise Woman

  • Has pensado alguna vez...

Fearing this, Rumple takes a mallet to his foot, injuring himself so that he may be sent home, he arrives to Milah holding their newborn baby, Baelfire, and she asks if it's true that he injured himself to be sent home on purpose. Rumple denies this, wondering who told her, and she states that rumors travel fast on the front line, accusing him of being a coward and saying that she would have preferred to be married to someone who fought and died. Many years later, Rumplestiltskin has a new meeting with the seer becoming a matured woman, he tells her that she was right as his actions in war (running away) caused his son to be fatherless (pulled down a portal and accidentally abandoned by Rumple). He now wants to know if and when he and his son shall be reunited. The seer says that he and his son will be reunited but that it will require a curse, one strong enough to rip everyone from the land, and that it will take a large deal of time. Rumple demands to know more, but the seer tells him that even her power has limits, causing Rumple to believe that she is holding out on him. At this, Rumple waves his hand and takes her power from her, now being able to see into the future. He says that it's all a confusing jumble and that it's not a gift at all, and the seer thanks him for taking it away, offering up another piece of the puzzle out of gratitude. She tells the Dark One that when he and his son meet again, there shall be a boy who stands in his way, one that will undo all of Rumple's hard work. He shrugs this off, stating that he'll just have to kill the boy. ("Manhattan")

Seers are not "chosen" - who is seer is determined by their ancestry. It may be specific combination of magic affinities.

The second kind of Seer is one that uses tools to gain their knowledge. Some of the most common tools used by these Seers are Tarot cards, or reflective items like water or a crystal. There are literally thousands of forms of this type of Seer all with their own tools and practices. This kind of Seer rarely makes it to the same level as the first, but can be just as accurate if not more in their readings.
Seers profess an enmity between their kind and the Mursaat, though the reasons for the feud are left unexplained. They are also opposed to the Titans, but it is not clear if this is because of a long-term rivalry or simply a reaction to the obvious general threat the Titans posed. The Seers assist the players by infusing their armor with a ward against Spectral Agony, the racial skill of the Mursaat, by use of the Spectral Essence dropped by the Eidolon and the Ice Beast.
