  • Common description These undead remnants of ancient lives are wrapped in the old dry cloths of their burial ceremony. They lust for life and attempt to steal it from any living being they encounter. They are usually found in places of final rest, but some are known to wander the world seeking some long-missed item or being of lost love. Alternative description A dead, desiccated form, wrapped in bandages and animated by the darkest of magics. All that is left of its mind is an urge to kill anything that intrudes upon its domain...

bestiarytext
  • Mummies are undead monsters that can be found in the ancient pyramids and ruins in the north of Tibia. No one knows where they come from, but they guard the burial chambers and attack every adventurer trying to get the legendary treasures. Their scaring sight can paralyze the bravest fighters, and they try to drain life energy off their shocked victims. Be aware of their poisonous daggers!

Description
  • Newly risen after being entombed ages ago, this teenage mummy is naive and prone to crushes.
  • Mummies are undead monsters in adom. They can be found quite commonly in the Pyramid. They are notable for being able to see the invisible PC, as well as possessing an attack that may induce sickness and being highly vulnerable to fire attacks. They also commonly drop quite useless mummy wrappings.
  • A cursed monster that continues to suffer even in death. As an undead creature, it hates the living and attacks travellers on sight.

  • Be careful as a low level because they can use quite heavy paralyze sometimes. Mummies are worth the trouble though because of their relatively good loot.

Strategy
  • A good strategy for distance fighters hunting this monster is this: If you are paralyzed, and can still move about as fast as the mummy, continue running it until either the paralyze wears off or it paralyzes you again. One exura will cancel out all paralysis. However, obstructions or lag can result in the mummy catching up and attacking the player. GFBs and explosions are useful in case of a tight situation.

  • A good strategy for distance fighters hunting this monster is this: If you are paralyzed, and can still move about as fast as the mummy, continue running it until either the paralyze wears off or it paralyzes you again. One exura will cancel out all paralysis, not just the last one casted against you. However, obstructions or lag can result in the mummy catching up and attacking the player. Any attack suffered by a mummy will cause a poison starting at the 1-4 hp level. GFBs and explosions are useful in case of a tight situation.

  • The Mummy attacks Pac-Man by drop kicking him. It acts as a sort of Rev-Roll. The Mummy has a sharp spike on its head, making them invulnerable to Butt-Bounces. Thus, the only way to defeat a Mummy is to Rev-Roll into it. If Pac-Man is not in the way, Mummies will walk around quite zombie-like, but the moment they see Pac-Man, the immediately take not of his presence and attack him.

In the Old World, Mummies are rare but not altogether unknown; the lore of ancient Araby has passed into the magical practice of many areas and, even in the Old World, Mummies may occasionally be made by some Necromancer for his own purposes.
  • A mummy is an undead creature, usually of lawful evil alignment, created from a preserved corpse that have been animated by the dark gods of the desert. These horrid creatures are often marked with symbols of the dire gods they serve. While other undead often stink of carrion, the herbs and powders used to create a mummy give off a sharp, pungent odor like that of a spice cabinet. Mummies cause fear in the living on sight, and any creature they touch is affected by a rotting curse called mummy rot. Inhabiting great tombs or temple complexes they maintain a timeless vigil and destroying would-be grave robbers. Mummies are the undead guardians of tombs and vaults of honored dead (such as kings or nobility of the ancient world). They patrol their homes with dedication, remaining alert for signs of tomb robbers or others who would desecrate their assigned lair.

  • Mummies are undead creatures found in the Pyramid Plunder minigames, and during quests such as Desert Treasure. Mummies are the only non-boss monsters that can drop Ancient staves, although this is a rare drop. As of the Wilderness Rejuvenation update, the Chaos Fanatic and Thermonuclear smoke devil also drop the staff. If you've purchased an Ancient staff from Eblis and lost it and do not want to buy one from another player, killing these monsters is your only choice. The mummies that drop Ancient Staves are in Jaldraocht Pyramid south of Bandit Camp, and can only be accessed once the four Diamonds of Azzanadra have been recovered during Desert Treasure. It is worth noting that mummies do not exist outside of the desert in Old School Runescape, as the Chaos Tunnels were added in 2008.

The other group serves Abidos the Third. In both of their appearances, mummies serve as basically grunts, accomplishing little other than providing a distraction.
  • The Mummies are the remnants of an ancient people that lived primarily in the desert. The dry climate of the desert meant that corpses had to be wrapped in linens to protect from sand and air, which would siphon out all the liquid and reduce the corpse to dust. Today, a special reanimation magic has brought these corpses back to life all across the desert. Mummies are an important part of the undead horde, but hold very little sway outside the sandy plains.
  • Mummy is a mummy crawling under the deserted pyramid in Morocc, appearing with Verit the undead dog before the adventurers from time to time. Tends to move in groups attacking other living things nearby. A walking corpse covered with bandages. It probably used to be beautiful once.
  • Mummies are ritually preserved corpses that have been animated and have a nasty tendency to spread diseases. They create an aura of fear around themselves and are difficult to damage with physical attacks. They have a weakness for fire, however.
  • Mummies are a special type of Undead that have been preserved by artificial means. While their physical form is more or less intact, their mental faculties have fared worse (unlike other preserved dead, such as the Lich or Vampire), propably related to the removal integral parts of the central nervous system - the brain. Mummies, uncommon for the undead, are commonly White Mages, giving credit to the religious procedure of mummification and often religious role the mummified person had in life. The mummy's higher and lesser forms are the Embalmed and Taxim, respectively. In popular imagination, the mummy is commonly associated with the bandaged, preserved kings and high functionaries of Ancient Egypt, and Random Kingdom's mummies follow this image, but actually, mummies . Current research indicates that even the mummification tradition in Egypt was not native to the country, but is really predated by burial methods - perhaps discovered inadvertedly - of people inhabiting the Saharah west of the Nile, reaching into Libya. One could guess that the desertification of the Sahrah following the last glacial maximum triggered a migration of these saharan tribes into the Nile river basin, where they developed a civilization that further refined the method. Mummy is a type of enemy found twice in Earth VII, once as an optional sub-boss that can be fought in the Dustbowel, and as a regular enemy in the Emperor's Grave. Considering that it is of the 'Undead' type, Mummy is incredible high on Agility. When fought in the Dustbowel, Mummy will drop the Desert Rose item, which allows Francis to absorb the Pharaoh dragonsoul. In order to fight Mummy, walk around in the Sand Dunes until one of the sandstorms sets you off next to an oasis (You cannot find to Oasis by yourself, as it is surrounded by mountains - but sooner or later, one of the sandstorms will set you off there). Enter the oasis and bath in the water. When you exit the Oasis, you will be set off somewhere in the sand. Wait until the sandstorms bring you to a palace (Again, you can't find it yourself, as it is surrounded by mountains). Enter and explore the rooms for items, then head to the basement, where you will find a person inside a sarcophagus. If you have not yet found the Oasis, talking to it will bring up nothing but "Let me sleep.". If you have found the Oasis, talking to it will ensue in a fight, after which you will gain the dragonsoul. Since the Dustbowel can only be entered in Chaper II, if you do not get to fight Mummy at that time, your next chance to get the dragonsoul is very late in the game, by battling the Sphinx bestia in Metropolis. Besides a weak normal attack, Mummy can use Mummy II (a higher-level magic spell that does Dry damage to one of your party members), Sandstorm (which blinds your party) and Royal Authority, to take control over one of your party members, which will cause him or her to fight the rest of the party. Only this latter move is dangerous, especially when affecting your strongest character. You can steal Khepresh from it, a headgear which is basically identical to Circlet, which you should have by that time anyway, so stealing is a waste of time. Being highly susceptible to fire, water and holy attacks, you should have Fafa and Francis in your party. Casting water-based magic will instantly kill it.
  • They swiftly crush anything that stirs them from their sleep before returning to their tomb. There are a few, though, that retain the agendas they had in life, which can make them terrible foes. They are usually armed as they were in life. Weapons and armour that have survived untarnished down the long ages with a Mummy are doubtless magical.

  • Mummy is a Universal Monster character featured as one of the main event icons at Fright Nights and as the main icon at Halloween Horror Nights IX. There have been two different interpretations of the character at the event, Kharis (1991) and Imhotep (1999).
  • The undead mummies consume the fluids and vital organs of the living to regenerate their decomposed bodies and return to their living and fully empowered form; leaving the victim a desiccated skeletal husk. Said victims are often the unfortunate mortals who opened the scripture and/or book which resurrected the mummy. They are also wrapped in bandages.
  • The Mummy is an enemy that can be found in the Ancient Ruins and in the Trial of Time - 5th floor.
  • Some Buddhist temples in Japan display the bodies of monks who are said to have begun a process of self-mummification before death. Believing that they were about to die, for several weeks the monks would eat nothing but salt, nuts, seeds, roots and pine bark and drink tea made from a toxic plant. Mummies, created intentionally and unintentionally, have been found in Europe, Asia and South America but the best known ones, which have had the greatest effect on peoples' imaginations, are those of ancient Egypt. The fact that ancient Egyptians believed that mummification would allow people to live forever in the next world, along with widespread belief in a "curse of the pharaohs" that would kill all those who disturbed the tombs of the Egyptian dead, has led to a number of novels, short stories and movies in which monstrous mummies come back to life.
  • The Mummy is a Thep Khufan from the planet Anur Khufos.
  • Almost all cultures, at one time or another have attempted to preserve their dead. Technically, a mummy is simply the preserved remains of a corpse, regardless of whether the preservation was assured by artificial means or natural ones. There was once an Egyptian priest who was in love with the pharaoh's daughter. He was wrapped like a mummy and buried for his insolence. He returned to life thousands of years later when his tomb was finally opened, and he searched for Tana leaves in order to bring his beloved back to life alongside him. Kharis--that was the poor priest's name--was not evil at all, but all thought of him as a monster, and he ended up acting accordingly. Such is forever the misfortune of the undead. Perhaps this is the mummy buried in Tamir. The last task Lolotte set upon Rosella was that of finding Pandora's Box. Rosella located it in an Aegyptian crypt built into the side of the Impossible Mountains. The magical box was inside the place, guarded by the undead Egyptian mummy. It was at least a thousand years old. The princess was carrying a black scarab charm at the time and was protected from the creature. The ghoul kids kept a strange mummy within their home.

  • Android Mike Vincent summoned a Mummy along with Frankenstein, a Werewolf, and the Count to attack Kevin Keene. While the rest of the N Team handled the other monsters, Duke defeated the Mummy by catching its wrappings in his mouth and unraveling it. Later, when Simon Belmont and Kevin infiltrated the Count's castle to rescue the Poltergeist King, Alucard summoned four Mummies to attack them. Kevin's Zapper was useless against them, so he grabbed their wrappings and leaped high into the air to unravel them, then used the Mummies' wrappings to tie up Alucard and send him back to his coffin.
  • Mummies have a chance to deal Poison damage on striking. On Hell difficulty, all variants of mummies are immune to Poison. The different types of mummies are Dried Corpse, Decayed, Embalmed, Preserved Dead, and Cadaver. Mummies can spawn from a Mummy Sarcophagus. In addition, fallen Mummies can be revived by Greater Mummy monsters. Like all Undead creatures, Mummies are easily dealt with by using blunt weapons such as maces and scepters. A number of the Paladin's abilities such as Holy Bolt are fairly effective against them too. A super unique Mummy is Creeping Feature.
  • A mummy is a corpse which has been preserved in some form so as not to decay further if kept in a cool, dry location. Some cultures, most famously the Ancient Egyptians, preserved their dead in this fashion. The Weasley family saw some of these mummies on their 1993 trip to Egypt. A mummy that has been reanimated in a matter similar to an Inferius was the worst fear of Parvati Patil, and thus her boggart took this form. Mummy parts could also be used in the manufacture of Belch Powder; 2 drachms of mummy was a required component.

  • While Egyptologists like museum Mummies, they do not like living Mummies. This is because museum Mummies are extremely calm and docile, while living Mummies are more hostile and tend to kill Egyptologists and kidnap their girlfriends. This is an unfortunate side-effect of the law which states that Egyptologists are only allowed to date women who look exactly like the reincarnations of ancient Egyptian princesses. The origins of this law are obscure.

  • File:Quake1.gif The Mummy is a semi-boss Enemy in Dissolution of Eternity found in Curse of Osiris. The Mummy is much like the Zombie in its appearance and animation; it even has the same attack and makes the same noises. But the Mummy is much stronger and can take a very high amount of damage.
  • Gargamel's mother (her real name unknown, but simply called Mummy) is a recurring character who appeared in various episodes of the Smurfs. She is an annoying old busybody who makes frequent unannounced visits with her son Gargamel, usually to nag him for his consistent failure in destroying the Smurfs. She is obviously a witch, or has at least some knowledge of magic, which she uses in her plans to destroy the Smurfs. Nobody knows what happened to Mummy's husband. Whenever Gargamel and Azrael eat with Mummy, her cooking is such that they both get a stomachache. In the episode "Wedding Bells For Gargamel", Gargamel's mother decided it was high time he married and arranged him to marry Andria through the matchmaker Madame Lavinia, only to see the wedding get cancelled thanks to her son and the Smurfs. In "Gargamel's Time Trip", Gargamel goes back in time to see a younger and gentler version of his mother holding her infant son in his castle (hers at the time), hoping that he will someday be a successful wizard and that he would care for her in her old age. As the adult Gargamel sadly admits to Azrael, his mother never forgave him for doing badly at Wizard's School, implying that's why she would move out of the castle in later life. She's always mentioned by her son, mostly when he screams in fear at some dire predicament. Gargamel's mother does have a comic book appearance in the story "Bathing Smurfs" when the evil wizard remembers things of his childhood that would be destroyed in the fire of his hovel that Papa Smurf warns him about. Interestingly, although only the back of her is seen, what is seen of her is very different from the cartoon show version of her. In the more recent comic book story "The Smurfs And The Sorcerer's Love", Mummy appears again to offer her son some advice in his desire to date a young woman named Roxana, and gives him a magic love potion to help him succeed, the result of which proves disastrous.

  • A mummy is a body of a human or an animal preserved through different kind of methods so that it would not decay over time. Although most people associate mummies with Egypt, mummies were found all around the world and the oldest one ever found was in South America. Mummies were also very used as an undead "monster" in several horror movies in the earlier 20th century.
  • Mummy is a mummy/centipede-like Toxic Mutant that assisted Vrak and Distractor.
  • A member of the M mummy monster class, like the Egyptian myth, is simply a preserved version of another monster and superficially similar to zombies. Mummies tend to be stronger than their corresponding zombies, however. Although mummies have been preserved, their flesh is nonetheless tainted and thus unsuitable for sacrificing or consumption. All mummies are cold resistant. If a character gets killed by a mummy, the bones file of that person will contain a mummy instead of a ghost. The mummy will then retain the characters inventory rather than leaving it in a loot pile, so that in general they must be killed in order to get these things. Mummies drop, unsurprisingly, mummy wrappings (86% chance).
  • Mummies are undead monsters in adom. They can be found quite commonly in the Pyramid. • The Mummy is a character that first appears in Return of the Holiday Seasons. The mummy is a guardian of the pyramid of Mohkadun. If anyone steals one of Dunuloa's magic treasures, the mummy is capable of sensing their location and will relentlessly pursue them until it crushes their throat. However, it is only capable of moving at an incredibly slow pace. The curse of the mummy was first triggered when Wilcott Wilden removed the Wand of Scoobusdobios Du from the pyramid. The mummy set off in pursuit, but had not even managed to make its way out of the pyramid by the time Riff and Torg returned the wand to the pyramid years later. When Torg removed the Camel Necklace from the pyramid, he became the new target of the mummy's curse. The mummy spent the next ten years slowly pursuing Torg. It was still walking across the bottom of the ocean when Torg passed over it on a boat headed back towards the pyramid. After realizing this, the mummy spent an entire week cursing.
  • Some races mummify their dead, in particular Trolls and Nerubians. Sometimes they are reanimated with necromancy, and become a kind of undead creature called a mummy.
  • A type of undead that inhabits the desert region, ruins, etc. They are reanimated when demonic energy accumulated in a human corpse. Under Anubis they protect the ruins, serving the role of soldiers who repel tomb raiders and their ilk. Their personality and memories from when they were among the living remain; however, starving mummies lose their rationality and act on instinct, so they are extremely dangerous. They are always overwhelmed with the feeling that their bodies are dried out, so they attack men in order to take in spirit energy through sexual intercourse. they shove a man to the ground and rub their entire body against his as if to cover him, and then, when they take a man inside, they move their hips violently and churn their insides as if trying to moisten their dry body. By absorbing the semen that will be release before long, their thirst and hunger will finally be satisfied. After having taken in spirit energy, their rationality and intellect increase, causing them to become temporarily docile; however, their greed will soon be starving for semen again and go dry seeking a man, so once caught a man will not simply be released. Another thing, they are also known to attack women as well, and in that case, the woman would have all the spirit energy of her body sucked out, and would end up becoming a “mummy” herself. Women transformed into mummies in this way are the same as other mummies. Because of the lack of magical energy, they feel hungry, dry, and will assault men. Furthermore, their skin is extremely weak to stimulation. Even just from being touched, they feel an extreme rush of pleasure. Upon receiving such stimulation, the pleasure would be too great, and they may become temporarily paralysed. In order to prevent this, they cover their whole bodies in special bandages that curtail the pleasurable feelings. For that reason when you encounter a mummy, if you can undo the bandages, you can stop her from moving, and escape would then be a simple affair. However, in general, they leave part of their body exposed with no bandages around it. If one touches that place, it seems to cause intense pleasure rather than disgust. So they are not just carrying out their duty to protect the ruins under anubi orders, they are probably just doing it simply because they want to have sex with men who come to the ruins. __NOEDITSECTION__

  • The Mummy is a monster found in the Desert biome. There are five variations of the Mummies, one being the Mummy, which spawns in the desert once the Wall of Flesh has been killed, the Light Mummy and Spectral MummyConsole which spawn on Hallowed Deserts, and the Dark Mummy and Shadow MummyConsole which spawn on Corrupted Deserts. The Light Mummy can drop the Light Shard, and the Dark Mummy can drop a Dark Shard, used in the crafting recipe of the Dao of Pow. This particular monster exhibits the ability to go berserk; if a mummy has taken a certain amount of damage, it will start running towards the player in a much faster speed. This ability is somewhat useless as it only activates when their health is low. One notable thing is that it is possible to get mummies spawning in the ocean.

Like his fellow horror host Dr. Death, The Mummy possessed a cadaverous appearance and a sardonic sense of humor, the latter usually displayed at the conclusion of each story. 'Subtle' hints dropped throughout several stories suggested that he was thousands of years old, having accumulated various supernatural abilities during his long existance. In contrast to Dr. Death, he rarely took a personal role in the tales he wove, preferring to act mainly as master of ceremonies. First appearing on the cover of Beware number 1 (May, 1952), he continued on as the title's host until its cancellation in 1953.
