  • Demons are a class of creatures from the Age of Faerie who sought to ravage the land, kill all manner of life, and overrun the world without regard to the consequences. This put them in opposition with the Elves and other creatures of Faerie who sought to preserve and cherish the land and its life.
  • Demons are the monsters of The Kane Chronicles. They reside in the Land of Demons. Most demons are servants of Chaos, but some serve gods. They can be execrated, as Vladimir Menshikov shows in The Throne of Fire, with the execration performed on Death-to-Corks, a demon who served Menshikov for 50 years. Setne has used glamour to turn Zia and Carter into demons in The Serpent's Shadow.
  • While the Arkranians were the first demons, they were not the first race of Demons to appear. The first two races to appear were the Xarkrains and the Arkranians. Every other race is a descendant of those two origins, but all demons originated from dragons. A chart of the origins and descndants is below.

  • Demons are supernatural entities in the universe of The Belgariad and The Malloreon Magicians summon and bind demons to their will in order to work magic. The ritual involves incantations and protective circles drawn on the ground, for if the demon gets free its first goal will be to kill the summoner. Lesser demons appear numerous times in the stories. They are occasionally named, though these names seem to be inventions of their summoners. Their relative rank and power seems to be indicated by size, with names attached to the varying degrees at one point. However, this is not an exact science: the Demon Lord Nahaz almost always used a human-sized form (although his true form was monstrously huge), and summoned demons' shapes and sizes are determined by the imagination of the summoner.
  • "Demons" is the eighth episode of the third season of Stargate SG-1.
  • Demons are powerful entities in Jade Empire. They can be malevolent or benign. Demons often take on characteristics of animals and are named for such association. • Demons are malevolent, inter-dimensional beings that travel between worlds, destroying everything in their path. They return to their home dimension, the Void, when they die. Religiously, they are defined as Hell's denizens and the servants of Satan. Demons come in a large variety of species and forms, their numbers said to be infinite.
  • Demons are malevolent supernatural beings originating from the plane of Gehenna. They are seen throughout the series but are most widely seen in Zero no Kiseki. Demons were summoned and used by members of the D∴G Cult during the events in Zero no Kiseki. Humans can sometimes also be transformed into demons by consuming Red Gnosis. Known demonic entities include * The Seventy-Seven Devils * Majin Joachim (Joachim's demon form) * Earnest (Earnest's demon form) * Greater Demon (found in the Infernal Castle)

  • Demon, more properly known as a spirit, is a general term for any of the supernatural entities originating in the Other Place and commanded by magicians in the world of the Bartimaeus Sequence. Although considered disparaging and more than a little disrespectful by Bartimaeus, it is commonly used by magicians, particularly during their incantations. Bartimaeus finds the word "demon" to be highly insulting, and prefers that people call him a spirit, djinni, or "exalted djinni".
  • Demons were the native inhabitants of the Demon Realm. They were incredibly hostile and dangerous creatures. Throughout the series several different Demon species have been observed in Nosgoth's Material Realm, generally due to the breakdown of the binding and dimensional boundaries.
  • Demons are one of the Eight Fairy Families. At the Battle of Taillte, instead of moving under-ground like the other fairies, they decided to take their island out of time and into Limbo. They look reptilian with large horns and scales. They start out as imps, and later warp into demons, the only exception being demon warlocks, who do not warp. They are very hot-headed and violent. They do not have the ability to conjure magic.
  • Demons are evil spirits that torment and possess the living in retribution for evil and selfish acts. They pose as one of the two main antagonists in the Scary Movie franchise.
  • Demons also known as the "Umaiar", are spirits of old who turned over to the dark side. Apart from Morgoth, who was originally a Valar, most of the demons were corrupted Maiar (such as Sauron and the Balrogs). Corrupted Maiar were referred to by the Quenya word Umaiar.
  • Demons is a single by American singer Rachel Layton, featuring rapper Bart Simpson. The song was released on Halloween 2014, as the lead single from the reissue of Layton's debut album Fire. The song was co-written by Layton's counterpart DJ TRAKZ.
  • "Demons" is issue 14 of Marvel's Further Adventures of Indiana Jones comic book series. It was published in February 1984.
  • Demons are powerful, evil creatures that were created by the high priest who aquired the Titan Armor in the Era of the Spirits. They naturally exist in the Astra Universe, torturing the humans that are sent there when they die. Although their purpose was to torture those who lived sinful lives, they are monsterous beasts who will cause death and destruction regardless of a person's morality. While the more powerful demons reside in the Astra World, smaller and weaker demons occasionally escape to the Chi World to cause havok and destruction on civilizations.
  • Demons is the twelfth episode of the third season of The 100. It is the forty-first episode of the series overall.
  • The demons that swept across the face of the earth when the gates of Hell opened are varied in size, shape, ability and power. The careful observer will note that these abominations fall into one of four distinct categories, or castes and two distinct ranks.
  • Demons are the foulest monstrosities to ever plague Tibia - they threaten our lives and our way of life. They must be stopped. Most demons are weak to Holy Damage and/or Ice Damage. But be careful, some demons have resistances to Holy and Ice as well. Arak Demons, Imps, Hands and Dreamhaunters have their own pages. See also Demon NPCs.
  • Demons are malevolent spirits. They are created from human souls that have endured extensive torture in Hell by Alastair and other demons. In this process, they become corrupted, extremely evil, and also very powerful. The species as a whole functions as the series' primary antagonists and are the most recurring supernatural creatures in the series. Similar to Angels, they require a Vessel to walk the earth, though are able to roam in their smoke form.
  • Within the Nasuverse, the term Demon (悪魔, akuma?) refers to entities founded within the 6th Imaginary Aspect (第六架空要素, Dai-Roku Kakuu Youso?).
  • Demons are extra-dimensional beings that exist in various realms of hell. As mystical beings, demons posses varying degrees of power. They feed upon souls of the evil or sinful people. They are skilled in black magic and all exist with a need to cause suffering on the mortal world.
  • Detective Stabler goes undercover in order to catch a recently paroled rapist who he is convinced has returned to his old ways.
  • In the manga Demons have their own society, an oppressive community similar to a beehive, where everyone has a rank according to their power level.
  • Demons are malevolent supernatural beings who follow Satan as their leader. Throughout history, demons have tortured mankind under the orders of Satan, and are the cause of many natural disasters and diseases. The false gods which other religions worship are actually demons who disguise themselves as deities.. While demons are currently free to roam the earth, God will eventually judge them and cast them into Hell at the end of time.
  • Just like Corrupted Beings, Demons are also corrupted but not as much as Corrupted Beings. They were probably created by a Demon Sorcerer or just formed in nature. Their hides and remains can be made into weapons and armor.
  • Demons are one of the races from Sapureth. They are constantly used in the series as villains.
  • Demons have appeared in two Eddsworld episodes as well as a game, they are red men with horns, a forked tail and have big muscles. They have green blood. Some have wings, like the one that appeared in Tribute, or the ones seen in the background of Hello Hellhole. Some demons can leave hell and have the ability to eat somebodies soul. In hell, they work in the Sinner Squishing rooms or they wander about, attacking sinners with weapons. But they don't harm the tourists. they seem to resemble the Imps or the Pinky Demons from Doom.
  • Demons are extra-dimensional beings that exist in various realms of hell.
  • The Church claims that demons exist and can possess people to perform their nefarious deeds in this world. The sad thing is that this seems to be true. Even the most rational scientists must admit to the reality of something out there, something often unseen but seemingly hostile. These entities, demons or aliens or whatever, can so far only be combated by Church theurgy and miracles of faith
  • Demons are low-to-mid level encounters that, while weak, are some of the single most annoying monsters to deal with.
  • The term demon is elusive and difficult to define. The original use of the term referred to divine intelligence and enlightenment. It was 'demonized' (no pun intended) by a Catholic church that went to a great deal of effort to make enlightenment a sin and control the thoughts and deeds of a population kept ignorant by force. Today, demon refers to any of a broad range of darker souls, not all of whom are actually connected by any trait other than the fact that they are all under the category of Celestials. Among these are certain dark gods of the old pagan religions, angels who fell from favor and service to the Christian god, and several much older entities. Some, but by no means all, of these beings are associated with a much misunderstood plane of existence known as Hell.
  • Demons are any form of extra-dimensional life originating from Hell. They appear to be carbon based life forms, with extremely high heat tolerances. Their epidermal tissue is very resilient to abrasion or incision, which has caused slight complications of internal studies. Observational studies have shown incredible strength and agility, as well as the ability for some specimens to manifest and control cohesive plasma masses. The method by which these plasma masses are created is vaguely understood, but no useable data has been acquired. For a listing of known demons, see .
  • The AD&D Monster Manual lists demons and devils as two separate species. Some people have been a bit confused when they see me referring to ‘devils’ as ‘demons’. In Thuntonia, they’re all simply referred to as demons. Since hell magic produces so much energy, demons don’t require food energy to live. They get all the “calories” they need just by existing. But demons don’t have souls and this means they need sustenance that mortals don’t. To understand this you need to understand how Thuntonian souls work.
  • Demons (also known as Nightgaunts) were creatures that act as servants to the darkness. The ones encountered in the game are wingless. They are characterized by an arched spine, bat-like teeth and a muscular upper torso. Although they are slow moving, they are able to extend their arms to perform a swipe attack. The demons also attack by spitting projectiles that creates a pool of acid that damages players standing in it. * They are a wingless version of the Nightgaunt.
  • There are few in Duranin that can dismiss demons as stories to frighten small children or fanciful tales of mythology, for the presence and threat of otherworldly evil is a harsh reality any who venture from major cities must face. Though the term is sprinkled about liberally to describe any antagonistic, magical entity, actual demons are a specific type of being that leaves paths of destruction and misery wherever they walk.
  • "Demon" has different meanings when used in different contexts. As they are currently understood, those meanings are: 1. * A powerful and dangerous supernatural creature, and potentially malign. This is the sense that appears in Fenarian folktales, and in colloquial usage by those who are unfamiliar with the magical sciences. 2. * Easterners may refer to Dragaerans this way, presumably from the above sense. We see some evidence of this: 3. 1. * In Jhereg, Vlad Taltos states that if Mellar were to travel out East, he would be considered a demon 4. 2. * In The Paths of the Dead, Morrolan is specifically stated to have been considered a "pet demon" by the villagers of Blackchapel. Later in that same book, even Lady Teldra is referred to that way. 5. * When used tech
  • Demons, also known as Daemons often appear to be locked into an eternal battle against the forces of Good – but that's just a front. In reality, Good and Evil are two sides of the same coin, which makes them necessary to each other’s existence but at the same diametrically opposite (although some say evil is merely the absence of good). It is believed by some that demons are collaborating with the Pope in a plan for World Domination.
  • I've never really seen a creepypasta about demons. No, not monsters, ghosts or entities... Demons. I don't know if I believe in them, but I can't think of any other explanation. Ever been in a bank robbery? I have. I work in a bank. I watch the CCTV cameras during opening hours. Now when you watch cameras all day, you notice things. The blonde flirting with the guard every Thursday, the homeless man trying to open up an account with a penny he found... The guys in suits, standing in the corner. The ones I've never seen before. They stood out the most on this particular day, and the net few days. The guards never noticed them, neither did the other customers or the clerks. They were just observing. Like me.
  • This article describes various allusions to Demons in the Smallville series. Chloe: You can't keep running away, Clark. We all do things we regret. Sometimes you have to stop and face your demons. Season Three: Phoenix Dr. Foster: Lex, if you don't let your demons out, they could consume you. Season Three: Perry Lionel: Lex, even if I were the demonic father you've made me out to be, you know I would never do anything so sloppy. Season Three: Crisis Oliver: Nice to play. I just started asking myself who knew about Lex, about Toyman. The things I'd given up, what i tried to do. Then it all occurred to me. Dinah shattered the glass in the warehouse, Bart rescued me from the car, Victor faked the computers, and Watchtower kept an eye on the whole thing. Right? Chloe: You w
* Illidan Stormrage * Satyrs * Xavius
  • Demons are a Zamonian life form which do not have easy lives. This is because of their horrific appearance and aggressive attitude. Because of their aggressiveness, many were killed. This caused many demons to join together for mutual protection and to cause as much havoc as possible. Their main goal is to die in battle honourable and be sent to Netherworld. The types of demonic groups range from small highwaymen groups, tribes, consisting of hundreds at times, and demonic armies. If a demon died in battle, they would be sent to Netherworld, where blood flows by the bucket full.

* Illidan Stormrage * Satyrs * Xavius

Demons are the true embodiments of evil in this world of men. They show themselves in various forms. Be it from the smallest baby, to the largest fat man. Demons can be recognized by their multiple horns, sharp fangs, tails, wings and overall nasty attitudes, although they are often in disguise.

5. * When used technically by those Dragaerans who have made a thorough study of sorcery and sorcerous theory, "Demon" refers specifically to an entity that, like a God, has learned how to manifest in at least two locations at once, but which can be summoned, bound, and controlled. By this definition, being controlled is the only characteristic which distinguishes a demon from a god; if it were learned that a God at any time was controlled by someone else, it would thenceforth be known as a demon. A demon can sometimes be more powerful than a god: The Necromancer can do certain things faster and better than Verra could.

Dinah shattered the glass in the warehouse, Bart rescued me from the car, Victor faked the computers, and Watchtower kept an eye on the whole thing. Right? Chloe: You were living like you had a death wish. You had to face your demons if you were ever gonna make it out alive, and I had to push you over the ledge in order to pull you back. Oliver: Did you have to push with a 3-ton truck? Chloe: I didn't think a tricycle would be a strong enough point. If two tribes met they would either fight each other to the death or join each other, forming a demonic army. These armies would travel around murdering or pillaging until they met another army. It is unknown for two armies to join together, as most of the time they would fight to the death. Demonic battles were brutal with massive casualties on each side. This phrase is used by Zamonians when there is a war with heavy casualties on either side without a clear cut winner. If a demon died in battle, they would be sent to Netherworld, where blood flows by the bucket full.

Although considered disparaging and more than a little disrespectful by Bartimaeus, it is commonly used by magicians, particularly during their incantations. • The AD&D Monster Manual lists demons and devils as two separate species. Some people have been a bit confused when they see me referring to ‘devils’ as ‘demons’. In Thuntonia, they’re all simply referred to as demons. File:Demons.jpg Thuntonian demons live in hell and are animated by a form of magic that is more powerful, but more chaotic than the magic found on the prime material plane (that’s where regular folks live). Thuntonian magic is actually a form of energy. On the prime material plane, spells and magic items tap into that energy and use it to power whatever that spell or item is designed to do. In hell, that magic is a massive amount of excess energy that constantly and violently generates various types of heat and radiation into the atmosphere it permeates. This is what gives hell its fiery state. It’s also why demons have no problem with heat and fire. In the same way that sunlight would kill a vampire but feel quite comfortable to a human, fire would kill a human but feel comfortable to a demon. Since hell magic produces so much energy, demons don’t require food energy to live. They get all the “calories” they need just by existing. But demons don’t have souls and this means they need sustenance that mortals don’t. To understand this you need to understand how Thuntonian souls work.

Like me. It was the fifth day he was in when it got strange. He was standing there one second, then the camera went black. When the system restarted, he was gone. But no one had left the building, there's a beep every time the door opens. It was as if he had vanished. From then on I never saw him again. But something was, strange to put it lightly. The small thing I noticed had changed. The blonde never looked at the guard, the homeless man stopped coming in, everything was wrong. But not dangerous. Until the blonde pulled a gun on the guards and customers. I heard no noise, I just sat there watching the flashes on the screen. The blood soaking the floor. The blonde smirking. I was so scared my body froze in my seat. The few surviving customers ran for the door, taking a chance to escape, but soon noticed it was blocked by a car. Zooming in on the camera, I saw the driver was the homeless man. He exited the car... and pulled out another gun. He pointed it towards the door and opened fire. No one was left alive after that. Just me and the bank manager at the back of the building. He told he, "I'm going out." I begged him to stay, they didn't want to talk, he'll get killed! "They must want something, I need to do this." With that he left me, sat in my seat. All I could do was turn around... and watch, as he walking in, hands up, head down. Watch him fall to his knees as bullets fly through his new suit, into his torso, and out again. He was a dad. I continued to watch through teary eyes. I still don't know why I watched, but something made me. A voice in my head, telling me to keep my eyes on the screen. I wish I didn't listen, because I can't explain what happened next. I can just tell you what I saw. I saw the homeless man come into the bank, walking over the ripped open bodies of adults and children. He smiled as blood soaked his feet. The blonde was smiling too, gun in hand. She turned to the man and shot, again and again. My jaw dropped. Not because of the shooting, but because the man just carried on walking, smiling even more now as he sprayed bullets at the blonde, who stood there laughing. When they had stopped, both had blood covering them head to toe. The blonde turned to face the camera and walked toward it. She looked straight into the camera, as if she knew I was watching her. She was missing most of her bottom jaw and what was left of her was... drenched in blood. She attempted to smile and her eyes flickered black... I thought it was a camera fault, but they stayed black for a few more seconds before the camera once again blacked out. The system restarted and the man and woman were on the floor dead. And two men in suits appeared in the corner of the room. Before the camera blacked out, one final time.

Very little is publicly known about the origin of demons, but it is known that they are alien to the physical world. They appear cloaked in a dark aura that twists and warps anything around them into a perverse, partially corporeal shadow of it's former self; indeed, the strange magic wielded by demons and their worshipers seems to "damage" reality. (see The Dark Arts) While extensive studies have been conducted on the nature of demons over the centuries, they are carefully guarded; Tomes containing such knowledge are confiscated or burned by the Ahirim church or local authorities lest they fall into the wrong hands. Anyone found consorting with demonic forces or magic is subject to immediate imprisonment or execution.
This article is a . You can help My English Wiki by expanding it.

It is believed these creatures possess a rudimentary intelligence and social structure. For a listing of known demons, see .
