| bestiarytext | - Under a strict leadership the Destroyers prove quite competent in the area they are employed, which is usually to destroy things and to mash people. However, their true strength comes through quantity. Demons of higher ranks like to accumulate a horde of such minions and let them loose on a target. Such an unleashed horde of Destroyers is virtually unstoppable. Having a seemingly endless supply on Destroyers, only the difficultly to enter the realms of the mortals keeps the demons from using them on a larger scale.
- The Destroyers, a rather minor demonic race, can be found at many places serving many purposes. By all accounts much stronger than smart, they are particularly effective in close combat. Powerful enough to be noticed by other demons but still too weak to be of any importance, Destroyers love to torment and bully creatures that are lower in the demonic pecking order. This gets them often into fights with the smart but physically weak imps. Since both races feel superior over the other, they do not get along too well.

- Destroyers (sometimes known as 'defenders' or 'tanks') are undoubtedly the toughest drones on the game. They generally appear in Tank mode first, and must be shot in the fuel cell on the back. This makes them transform. In robot mode, they have to be shot in the chest to remove all the armour plating and reveal the vulnerable spot. In tank mode they fire tank shells, and use the shockwave ability. In robot mode they use Magma Frag Launchers and Nucleon Shock Cannons in a super-rapid fire mode.

The Destroyer met its end when Xena came to Potidaea looking for Gabrielle, where she found out about the Destroyer. She tried to fight it, but it was too strong and covered in deadly spikes, so she couldn't get to it. She finally was able to kill it when Gabrielle pretended to be Hope and distracted it while Xena stabbed it in the back. Hope came running in and The Destroyer killed her as it was dying, thinking she betrayed him.

Destroyer is the first Kiss album to prominently feature outside musicians, such as members of the New York Philharmonic-Symphony Orchestra.
