But Byron said he did not need any help and conceitedly asked him to help Kelly the Crane. When the machines were arguing about who was the most important, Byron replied to Jack that levelling the site was important because that was what he did. When Max and Monty's reckless behaviour caused a water supply pipe to burst, Alfie became trapped in thick mud. By using his blade, Byron rescued Alfie out off the mud to safety.

There is little ambition for the dwindling locals beyond logging, and within that there is some freedom: There isn't any pressure to pursue prestige, no delirious dreams to distract. A man might be tempted to drink his life away in a cabin or consume the forest's mushrooms which, for a while, might make it seem like his world is bigger than Keele; he will be able to hack and chop no matter what. It is a lonely and insignificant mark on the map of Lordaeron. Indeed, the measure of a man in Keele is how deep his axe can cut into bark and the measure of a woman is how many loggers she can birth. The insular and almost incestuous relationships of the community means that their values have been kept in the vault of untouched antiquity. Social change, which perhaps the city endures every generation, did not seem to bother with Keele. A good son will wear his fathers clothes and take up his fathers axe. However the subject of this story, Byron, was not his father's son. Byron's father, Landon, had worked as a lumberjack originally, but had been promoted to count the amount of logs able to ship per week. The idea Landon had of a father son relationship was taking Byron away from his bed, in which he spent most of his time, and to his work. Landon was a popular man but he was constantly afraid of what his peers might think should they find out Byron was a fragile and queasy boy. A popular saying within Keele dictated that, 'A seed that falls from a strong tree will be a strong sapling'. The natives of Keele had sense enough to turn the phrase on its head. Once, even, Byron had the audacity to trip and fall in the audience of his father's loggers. What pain of embarrassment and shame his son had caused him. The boy received a due smacking for the show of human error. Thus, Landon prayed every night for his peers to ignore his boys' ailments and faults, and sometimes, for his boy to pass away silently. What Byron prayed for was more simple. He was a lean, pale and sickly boy and had shaggy long hair, which was unfashionable in Keele. Much to his loving mother's chagrin, his father would often comment that Byron appeared to be an elderly woman past her allotted day of death. It is understandable then that Byron prayed and ate to be much larger, like the other men of Keele. Unfortunately, a particular ailment caused Byron to reject his food and vomit bile. Such was the severity of this condition that his mother took him to visit the apothecary at Hearthglen, who suggested Byron line his stomach with milk and eat dairy products to soothe his agitated humors. Although Byron was happy to comply, Landon did not want the stigma of having a milk-drinker in his home; it was regarded as weak within the community. Landon's greatest fear materialized when, on his son's thirteenth birthday, Byron's back gave in when chopping wood. A curvature in the spine left the boy useless to the group and increased the ironic sting behind Landon's mocking. Byron's mother was considerate towards her son, but she did not pray for him. It was unclear to Byron whether her sympathy was born of her love for him or of her hatred of his father. If Byron had inherited anything from his father, it was his high capacity for embarrassment. His parents had crossed the line of the normal within Keele and had their marriage annulled, on the grounds that they were not married properly in the first place. Not only did this mean that Byron was the only child in the village to have parents who were not married, but also that Byron was technically a bastard. Perhaps then the feeling of shame was mutual between Byron and his father. Yet, if you had asked Byron of his childhood up until the point his parents separated, he was inclined to say happy. Byron had a fascination with the unusual idea of art, which his mother encouraged. When his mother left for Hearthglen to continue a short-lived affair with an apothecary there, Byron had to live with his father.

Byron speaks with a nice British accent and uses endearments like Duckie and Lover towards everyone including Anita. He can pass for an eighteen year-old even though he was turned when he was fifteen. He is first mentioned in Incubus Dreams, when a lycanthrope informs Buzz, who was talking to Anita, that a group of college students were heckling Byron while he was dancing at the Guilty Pleasure. Anita gets injured while trying to to control Primo and Jean Claude orders him to tend to her wounds. When he reaches Anita he almost rolls her. They leave the stage area to Jean Claude who had Primo under control after feeding from Anita. Anita is lead into a dressing room backstage by him and Nathaniel, so that Byron could bandage her wound. He explains to Anita that she should not touch Nathaniel because as Jean Claude had fed from her in the club she might also inadvertently feed from Nathaniel. While they are talking Jean Claude asks Anita to feed the arduer for him because he needed help in controlling a belligerent Primo. He agrees to be Anita's food if it meant having sex and not blood. Anita feeds both from him and Requiem through sex and blood respectively. Anita later leaves to meet her client though she takes Byron's leather jacket to replace her bloodied one. He's first seen in The Harlequin dancing at the Guilty Pleasures. He later comes into Jean Claude's office, along with Requiem, after finishing up his act. He offers Anita to dominate Nathaniel for her which puzzles her. He tells Jean Claude and others about what the Harlequin did to their kiss when they came for his master. He becomes worried when Jean Claude says he will ask for a meeting with the Harlequins. Towards the end Jean Claude suggests Asher as Anita's BDSM teacher because unlike Byron, who is a switch, he's a dominant. He appears to have had sex with Cardinal during a ardeur-fueled orgy due to Lover of Death's attack during the events of Bullet. Anita used him to feed the ardeur only once during an emergency because he prefers males to females even though he identifies himself as a bisexual.
  • George Gordon Noel Byron (also known as Lord Byron). In the Highlander universe, Lord Byron was a poet in the 19th century, turned rock star in the 20th. In 1815, after committing suicide and reviving as an Immortal, Byron was found by Methos who became his mentor and friend. The following year, he and Methos, Claire Clairmont, and the Shelleys agreed to meet in Switzerland in a house Byron had rented for the season. They encountered Hans Kershner, and Byron told Methos that he slept with Hans's wife. After a brief chase, Kershner's carriage turned over, tumbling him to the ground. Later Byron, Methos, Mary Shelley, Claire, and Percy Shelley were having a party and the famous challenge for a ghost story from each of the guests was issued. The next night, Hans came to Byron's house to challenge him. Methos told his student he wasn't ready yet, but Byron would not be restrained. Mary watched the fight, until Kershner finally ran Byron through. But Byron yanked a hidden sword from his cane and stabbed Kershner, then beheaded him with his primary blade. Mary ran forward, shocked, as Methos caught Byron's body and lowered him to the ground. Then he grabbed her and pulled her back away from the body as the Quickening began. Mary watched, terrified, as lightning crawled over Byron's body, making his limbs twitch and lift. The Quickening faded, and Byron revived, alive again as Mary and Methos watched. She demanded an explanation, and Methos told her that they are immortal, but that it must remain a secret. Mary understood instantly: "Or you would be hunted." Methos agreed: "For the perversion of nature that we are." Mary's compassion was roused, "Poor tormented creature. The sad hero of a never-ending story. Resurrected by lightning to eternal life. To eternal loneliness." From this beginning came the inspiration for her masterpiece, Frankenstein: The Modern Prometheus. By 1997, Byron was a rock star who used any and all drugs to excess in order to stave off boredom. He ran into Methos and Duncan at a club, and met Mike Paladini, a guitarist and protege of Joe's. Joe was amazed that Byron was the actual Lord Byron, and that Methos had never mentioned him. Byron acted as a Siren song to Mike, however, and the young guitarist followed him home to become immersed in Byron's catastrophic drug habits, which killed Mike within days. Furious with the reckless waste of life and talent, MacLeod was determined to challenge Byron. Methos met Byron in his dressing room and warned him that MacLeod was coming for him, and advised him to skip town, but Byron refused. Methos then tried to convince MacLeod not to destroy Bryon, "Mac, wait! Think. Think about the poetry. Think about the music that he's made. Think about the music that he will still make. You're going to kill all that as well?" MacLeod's only response was "And what about Mike? What music could he have made?" Methos could not answer, and stepped aside. Byron accepted MacLeod's challenge, and in the cellars of the venue, he lost his head to the highlander. Methos, unhappy, acknowledged that "His life had become one long tragedy." To which Duncan replied, "We all know how those end." As the episode ended, we hear Byron's final epitaph. "My task is done, my song has ceased, my theme has died into an echo. It is fit".

  • Byron is the cyborg enforcer of the Nerds. He is introduced in [[:w:c:imagecomics:|Spawn #11]] and is described as being ‘big and mean and as stupid as they come’. He is amazingly strong, and this is shown as he aides Norton in putting an end to Boomer’s mishaps. Byron’s armour consists of a five-layer Kevlar with a splash of almost nuke-proof proton-heavy alloy making it almost impossible for Spawn to break through. After the massacre in the alleyways between the Nerds and the Creeps, Byron is the only one left standing, and vows to put an end to Spawn. Since he can’t penetrate the armour from the outside, Spawn decides to do the next best thing. By using his teleportation skills, he teleports his body ‘inside’ Byron and explodes out with tremendous force – tearing the cyborg apart. That is the last that is ever heard from Byron.
