  • Circa the early 1900s, an organization called the Koopa Mafia was founded. It was led by an anonymous Koopa, who had an accident with a flamethrower but somehow survived, most likely due to his abnormally resilient shell. Thus, he became the very first Dry Bones. His newfound condition was passed on from Koopa to Koopa, and was later transported to other species, such as humans, because of a certain individual named Mister Kooperton. Thus, skeletons around the world gained sentience and even, in some cases, began to attack.

  • Lately there has been a surge in the fight for skeleton rights. I think we can all agree that skeletons and skeleton sympathisers should be locked away without any calcium to feed on. They are advocating for skeleton rights and even going as far as wanting to have a Skeleton or Trans-Skeleton Doctor. Some suspect that the Master was only made into a skeleton to prepare us for a skeleton Doctor. The skeletal menace is one that must be stopped here and now.

  • The Skeleton is a figure found in the Lost Cave. It is laying down on a raised platform of rock, at the end of one of the two main corridors of the Lost Cave. The skeleton has no dialogue and does not appear to have any scripted components. The skeleton, oddly, is a 2009-ROBLOX-era model, containing welds, and basic bricks instead of a package. There is no external lighting in the vicinity of the skeleton, so lights such as the Worklight or lights from Vehicles are necessary to see it. The skeleton was added and discovered on September 23, 2017, along with the rest of the Lost Cave.
  • Animated undead bones, the Skeleton is immune to slashing weapons. To hurt them, use a weapon with bludgeon damage such as a club or axe. They drop a wide variety of weapons and other loot when killed. They team up with others to try and take you down. They will always drop bone marrow.
  • Skeletons are undead monsters in ADOM. Many of them appear in vaults of lesser undead, and are summoned by enemy necromancers. Like other undead monsters they can see in darkness, but have no other special powers. Somewhat suprisingly, they possess some intelligence and can sacrifice PCs to their gods; this behaviour was confirmed to be intentional[1]. Skeletons can be healed by giving them bones. Technically, the only use for this fact is for necromancers to heal their own skeleton slaves.

A skeleton is seldom garbed in anything more than the rotting remnants of any clothing or armor it was wearing when slain. A skeleton does only what it is ordered to do. Ghosts 'n Goblins: Gold Knights has a game mode where the player controls a skeleton that attacks by throwing bones in an arc (like the axe). As the skeleton is not wearing armor, any hit is lethal, making the game harder.

They can be made from virtually any solid creature, and as such their size and power varies widely. In addition to the basic humanoid skeleton, there are also skeletons created from wolves, trolls, ettins and even giants. Animated skeletons are immune to mind affecting spells; they cannot be rendered unconscious and cannot tire. Clerics often have the ability to repel or destroy undead creatures, of which animated skeletons are usually the weakest such adversaries.
  • In biology, a skeleton is a rigid framework that provides protection and structure in many types of animal, particularly those of the phylum Chordata and of the superphylum Ecdysozoa. Exoskeletons are external, as is typical of many invertebrates; they enclose the soft tissues and organs of the body. Exoskeletons may undergo periodic moulting as the animal grows. Endoskeletons are internal, as is typical of many vertebrates; they are usually surrounded by skin and musculature, though they often enclose vital organs. Endoskeletons are attachment points for musculature and act as leverage for movement, and in many animals contain marrow, which produces blood cells. Skeletons may or may not be mineralized - human skeletons are calcified, while shark skeletons are cartilaginous - and may be jo

It didn't take long for Connor to defeat them.
  • Skeletons are mindless undead created through necromancy. Most skeletons are raised from battlefields and thus are often seen still clothed in rotting garments and rusting armor. Some skeletons still fight with the weapons they died clutching. Others, specifically created only by the most advanced necromancers, are able to cast magical spells. Whatever they attack with, skeletons are basically mindless automatons who are either directly controlled, or made to follow a specific order from their creator. If sufficiently damaged, the magic holding their bones together will dissipate, and they will crumple lifelessly to the ground. Some skeletons, however, actually seem to possess some kind of intelligence, like Mordresh Fire Eye found in Razorfen Downs. He can be seen talking to and encouragi

They have a chance of getting a leather armour (25%); a knife (8%) or a short sword (16%); but no random offensive item. Orcus Town is the only place where skeletons usually appear. Polypiling multiple objects of material bone (such as unicorn horns) may also create a skeleton. Chatting with a skeleton (even a tame one) will paralyze you for a few turns.
  • Kept alive by dark and ancient magic, Skeletons are the spirits of explorers who never found their way home, condemned to wander the frozen wastes for eternity. Though they seldom foray into the lands of the living, they will not hesitate to attack hapless wanderers of the wild. Animated through necromatic rites or the spells of demons skeletons do not seek to consume the flesh of the living, but only to extinguish the life of their victims. While they may seem mischevous or imbecilic, skeletons are unrelenting in their goals, move faster than zombies, and have some spark of intelligence, the extent of which varies on the based on the power and scope of the spell involved in the skeleton's creation. Theoretically one could have a single astute skeleton servant or a rather dense army of a hundred for the same expenditure of magical energy. While physically frail, skeletons never lack in number. As Skeletons sometimes drop Holy Daggers when killed, players like to hunt them in order to complete the Bracken Seed quest. Some Skeletons are known to lock their loot in their rib cages requiring a player to use their Lockpicking skill. Known Loot: Gold, Skulls, Holy Daggers. Skeletons are known to loot any rare item that they find. Therefore, rare items can occasionally be found on skeletons wandering throughout the forests.
  • Skeletons are able to use both ranged and melee weapons, and they may retain capabilities they had when living; skeleton warriors are able fighters, skeleton priests or clerics wield divine magic and skeleton mages (e.g. undead heretics) retain their arcane knowledge. If one is noticed by these creatures, one would do well to greet them with a sturdy mace rather than a blade.
  • The skeleton is the collective name for all the bones in the human body. A newborn infant has about 300 bones but, as it approaches adulthood, many of the bones fuse into single structures and, as a result, the adult human body contains 206 identified bones. The skeleton provides support and protection for the muscles and organs, defines the range of human movement, produces both red and white blood cells, stores essential minerals (particularly calcium) and helps to regulate the endocrine system.
  • Skeletons are undead beasts that can be found in several areas in White Knight Chronicles 2. They are slightly more difficult to kill than the average beast because they are normally immune to all damage except magic. To kill a skeleton without magic you will need to continue hitting it, doing 0 damage until you knock it off balance. Then it will drop to the ground and collapsed. Now you can hit it normally as it attempts to resurrect itself. If you do not manage to kill the skeleton before it recovers it will get up and you will begin doing 0 damage again until you can knock it off balance again. Using the Divine Magic spell Holy Light, it is possible to kill the skeleton in one it, after it is knock of balance.
  • A skeleton. In the context of monsters, the term refers especially to the animated skeleton, an undead creature. Animated skeletons are not necessarily weaker than zombies or other 'fleshy' undead, despite their obvious lack of muscular tissue, but their strength is magical in a more direct sense. Skeletons can perform surprisingly dexterous activities, such as shooting a bow. Skeletons are nothing more than mindless automatons fashioned from a very particular material. As such, they are unable to take the initiative in any action and must simply follow their orders.
  • A Skeleton is a common hostile mob that shoots arrows and drops 0-2 bones, 0-2 arrows, and/or a bow (most likely used, however there is a small chance a bow may be enchanted). They are the primary ranged mob that the player encounters while in the Overworld. Skeletons are currently only one of two mobs that drop bones, the other being a wither skeleton.
  • Skeletons are Undead. As iconic as Zombies, animated human skeletons have been featured in all of the Diablo games. In Diablo III, plain skeleton warriors are joined Skeletal Summoners, Skeletal Archers, and Skeletal Shieldman, and (perhaps) other types not yet revealed. These skeletons spawn in mixed packs and work together with much better AI than they have shown in the previous games in the series. The official bestiary has an entry on skeletons, from which the following excerpt is taken:

bestiarytext
  • Skeletons are undead monsters that live in the dungeons of Tibia. It is rumoured that they are the bodies of dead adventurers that have been revived by some evil power. Cropping up in packs and occasionally accompanied by other undead creatures like ghouls, they are quite nasty opponents, particularly because they are able to drain life energy off their opponents.

Description
  • Class-specific summon for Necromancer and up
  • Girl in a rubber suit with a skeleton pattern. Often thought of as a rebel she is actually quite loyal.
  • "For skeleton lovers."
  • Skeletons are undead monsters in ADOM. Many of them appear in vaults of lesser undead, and are summoned by enemy necromancers. Like other undead monsters they can see in darkness, but have no other special powers. Somewhat suprisingly, they possess some intelligence and can sacrifice PCs to their gods; this behaviour was confirmed to be intentionalhttp://www.adom.de/forums/project.php?issueid=1682. Skeletons can be healed by giving them bones. Technically, the only use for this fact is for necromancers to heal their own skeleton slaves.

  • Skeletons are the undead brought back to life through the power of magic. Because of the decaying of their flesh, skeletons have only the binding power of magic to keep them from falling apart and as such, they cannot move very fast and sway from side to side. Most skeletons are the reanimated remains of humans, however other races have been known to return from the dead. Skeletons are first encountered in Dungeon Siege inside a small secret dungeon off the path inside the dark forest. Two will appear when a statue is turned inside the dungeon. However because it is not on the path and most players will miss it, it is far more likely that the player will first encounter Skeletons just outside the Crypt.

  • Other skeletons have been seen in dungeons such as in Golden Axe and Decap Attack, particularly when they've been left to rot after being chained up so long.
  • A skeleton is a magically animated undead creature. Unlike shades, only humanoid creatures can be used to create skeletons. Skeletons have a slowing attack. Old players of the Dungeons & Dragons games are again put on notice that NetHack is different: in D&D, skeletons are the weakest of the classical undead monsters, safe to fight for very inexperienced characters. Not so in NetHack, where they are much tougher, reminiscent perhaps of the classic Ray Harryhausen movies.

Skeletons may or may not be mineralized - human skeletons are calcified, while shark skeletons are cartilaginous - and may be jointed for flexibility and motility or rigid for structural strength. The human skull shapes the head and face, protects the brain, and houses and protects special sense organs for taste, smell, hearing, vision, and balance. It is constructed from 22 bones, 21 of which are locked together by immovable joints, to form a structure of great strength. The ribs are curved, flat bones with a slightly twisted shaft. The 12 pairs of ribs form a ribcage that protects the heart, lungs, major blood vessels, stomach, liver, etc. At its posterior end, the head of each rib articulates with the facets on the centra of adjacent vertebrae, and with a facet on a transverse process. These vertebrocostal joints are plane joints that allow gliding movements. At their anterior ends, the upper ten pairs of ribs attach directly or indirectly to the sternum by flexible costal cartilages. Together, vertebrocostal joints and costal cartilages give the ribcage sufficient flexibility to make movements up and down during breathing. Ribs 1-7 are called "true ribs". Ribs 8-12 are called "false ribs" of which ribs 11 and 12 are "floating" ribs that articulate with the sternum indirectly via the costal cartilage of another rib or not. Limb (from the Old English lim) is a jointed or prehensile (as octopus tentacles or new world monkey tails), appendage of the human or animal body. Most animals use limbs for locomotion, such as walking, running, or climbing. Some animals can use their front limbs (or upper limbs in humans) to carry and manipulate objects. Some animals can also use hind limbs for manipulation. In the human body, the upper and lower limbs are commonly called the arms and the legs. Human legs and feet are specialized for two-legged locomotion; however, most other mammals walk and run on all four limbs. Human arms are weaker, but very mobile, allowing us to reach at a wide range of distances and angles. The arms end in specialized hands that are capable of grasping and fine manipulation of objects. Like zombies, Skeletons spawn in darkness and have a chance of spawning with armor. They also burn in sunlight and take fire damage unless in shade, water, or wearing a helmet. Both skeletons and zombies seek shade when exposed to the sun so that they don't burn in the daylight. When a Skeleton's arrow hits another hostile mob (with the exception of creepers and with the aid of a player to distract the skeleton), the other mob will attack the skeleton and neither mob will attack the player until one of them dies. Skeletons themselves will also turn on any other hostile mobs that hit them, including other skeletons. Unlike most other mobs, skeletons are able to spawn naturally in both the Overworld and in The Nether, where they can spawn in Nether fortresses in place of wither skeletons 20% of the time.
Skeletons are animated in much the same way as zombies are. Animating skeletons takes much greater skill or resources than animating a corpse which still has much of its "wetware" attached. When a skeleton first becomes animated, this is invariably the result of necrocraft. This is because the process by which a corpse decays to skeletal form may even at its shortest take longer than the transition to undeath of a deceased individual who is by inmortant factors inclined to rise. Such a transition is near instantaneous, delayed only by the hours of daylight left between the death of the individual and nightfall. However, it may happen that other undead, including those not produced by artificial means, in their undeath decay to the point of becoming skeletal. Some skeletons are simply zombies that have decayed to a substantial degree. As the animation of a skeleton requires different techniques than the animation of a fleshy corpse, a zombie which decays into a skeleton gradually wanes in operability and may cease undeath entirely if the methods required to maintain its undeath into its skeletal state are not undertaken. Vampires do not decay, while other undead, such as revenants and lichs, are functionally unaffected by their decay. While lichs may present as skeletal and be, for purpose of material interaction, be indistinguishable from skeletons The decay of any kind of undead can be slowed greatly through the use of embalming, although this only slows the rate of attrition - when the gradual wear of attrition is not compensated for by any regenerative procedure, the creature will decay nonetheless. A skillful practicioner of necrocraft may replace material lost to attrition and so prevent the decay of an undead being, even if it lacks any inherent restorative process. Even skeletons will decay to inoperability and inanimatability over time, however the process can take very long, in excess of thousands of millennia, depending on their "living" conditions. Protective magic used as part of the reanimating ritual can be used to slow the rate of decline and broaden the scale of environs in which skeletons will exhibit a very long "life"time. As a skeleton decays into bone dust, the animating force is maintained over that part of the entity which exhibits the lower entropic value - so the remains of the skeleton. The dust itself can be subjected to animation as well.

  • Skeletons are undead animated corpses similar to zombies, but are completely devoid of flesh and do not feed on the living. Edged and piercing weapons, such as swords and arrows, are mostly ineffective against skeletons; only blunt weapons, such as warhammers, are effective at knocking the bones apart. The necromantic spell animate dead allows the caster to create skeletons.

There are two different skeletal types: the exoskeleton, which is the stable outer shell of an organism, and the endoskeleton, which forms the support structure inside the body. • Skeleton: A Ceratopsian-headed dinosaur-type Mega-Virus. It had an armor that made him resemble a skeleton & he had something of a loud howl. Kilokhan sent him to damage all the communication networks. The damage was shorting machinery circuits everywhere, jamming TV signals, & created an earthquake in the high school. Sam went into the digital realm as Servo to take this menace on. Servo had his way early on, but was sent reeling by fireballs that the virus shot from his mouth. Sydney sent Servo his Battle Shield to protect him from the fiery projectiles. Unfortunately, the virus had another trick up his sleeve - he also had arrows built right into his armor, which he then proceeded to shoot right at Servo! Then, following another fireball attack, Servo's damage levels overloaded to the point that he was sent out of SyberSpace & the next second, Sam was back in his basement again! This time, Sam & Sydney, as well as Tanker & Amp, all went in to confront the virus again, & using Tracto, Borr, & Vitor, they quickly merged with Servo to make the Synchro program. Synchro gave the virus a good thrashing, & neither the virus's fireballs nor arrows could faze Synchro. Synchro then used his Shoulder Drill Missile attack on the virus, & afterwards (in a move similar to the finisher that Phormo executed on Blink) finished off this virus by using the Grid Power Fire Stream from the gem on his chest. Servo later encountered this virus in the episode "Forget You!" where he was the cause of widespread amnesia in the real world & again came out the victor by using his Synchro powers.
  • Skeletons are found in the underground section of the Haunted Mines battleground. They are easy to kill, and drop skulls, which are needed to summon grave golems. The official bestiary has an entry on skeletons, from which the following excerpt is taken: Despite the fact that skeletons seem mischievous or imbecilic, they are nothing to scoff at. We should neither dismiss them from our consideration, nor ignore the problem they represent. It is far past the time for serious inquiry into their exact nature. Since I am overly qualified on many subjects pertinent to this area of inquiry, apparently it falls to me to rectify this lack of understanding. After completing many months of long, arduous study, I now present the information I have gleaned from my research into these unholy monstrosities.Contrary to what I had assumed, a reanimated skeleton is actually constructed from bits and pieces of any number of different skeletons, not a single one. Their diverse composition gives them the ability to form and reform, and makes them easily summoned, permitted there is adequate raw material at hand. Still, this is not to say that a skilled necromancer could not call forth a cadre of skeletal warriors to do his bidding anywhere he chooses. He merely requires less effort to construct a skeleton army in a graveyard than in the middle of a forest. Furthermore, I have come to believe that a skeleton's intelligence is limited by the power and scope of the spell used in the creature's creation. Theoretically one could have a single astute skeleton servant or a rather dense army of a hundred for the same expenditure of magical energy. I am at a loss to explain the average skeleton's somewhat ludicrous mental predisposition, however. Perhaps the implausibility of its own existence makes the skeleton think it hilarious to hide in a barrel, cackling intermittently for some three hundred years until a victim happens by?
  • Skeletons are undead-type monster girls that can be created using necromatic spells or resurrected by Demonic Energy alone. Oddly enough, their closest relative is probably the golem, as skeletons technically constitute 'bone golems'. Along with the alp, they are one of the only monster girls that arise from former males.
He can be seen talking to and encouraging his brethren, holding a speech about how the undead Scourge will consume the whole of Kalimdor. Another skeleton who has retained his full human consciousness is Devlin Agamand. Skeletons are exclusively male. A strange darkness has recently engulfed the region of Duskwood, bringing out skeletons and other undead creatures from deep within the shadows. While gangly and seemingly frail, the skeletons possess superhuman strength and are highly resistant to most physical attacks. Though it is unclear whom the Skeletons work for or whether they serve a greater purpose at all, it is alarmingly clear that they seek to destroy anything in their paths.
  • Skeletons (スケルトン Sukeruton) are attacking enemies found in the Sand Zone.
  • Kept alive by dark and ancient magic, Skeletons are the spirits of explorers who never found their way home, condemned to wander the frozen wastes for eternity. Though they seldom foray into the lands of the living, they will not hesitate to attack hapless wanderers of the wild. Notes: If using the Raise Skeleton Spell, you can only have as many Skeletons on your Team as there are Casters on your Team who have the Raise Skeleton Spell. Example. you have 10 Mages and 5 Adepts, all of whom have Death I. You can only have 15 Skeletons on your team. The Tower of Necromancy raises this limit by 5. Early on, Skeletons can serve as a bonus to your military, but as more advanced units come into play, these pile of bones become more like city garrisons, making terrible defenders once Tier 3 units come into play. Try to special one Mage or Adept in summoning if you can: the more bonuses they start with, the longer they will be useful on the offense. Don't forget that Permanent Summons also stack on to your maintainance. Occasionaly, if a Skeleton that wasn't Summoned wins a battle, it might become a Spectre.
  • Fierce undead warriors, skeletons are the remains of warriors who either died as soldiers in some dark campaign, or were betrayed by those they most trusted. Those who fall to skeletons in combat are damned to an eternal lust for living blood. Coupled with their unthinking rage, this makes skeletons dangerous opponents. Skeletons have demonstrated the use of a wide variety of weapons, including swords, clubs, bows, and even armor and shields, and are often equipped in the same armament in which they fell or were buried with. Often these weapons are of poor quality. Even more terrifying are the animated skeletal remains of expired magic wielders, who prove that even the dead can wield the forces of magic. Most skeletons are actually constructed from bits and pieces of any number of different skeletons, not a single one. Their diverse composition gives them the ability to form and reform, and makes them easily summoned, permitted there is adequate raw material at hand. For instance, one would have an easier time summoning skeletons in a graveyard than in a forest. Usually they are found in places where they were laid to rest, or the site of a great battle. An exception to this was during the Darkening of Tristram, when skeletons rose up due to Diablo's evil. Skeletons were encountered in the depths of the Tristram Cathedral, and it was believed that these were the remains of Horadric monks. The Priests of Rathma, through necromancy, have the power to animate the remains of the deceased into skeletons. Animated partially through their own will and partially through the summoned spirits of ancient warriors, Necromancers often maintain a small host of these reanimated soldiers to do their bidding. As the Necromancer's knowledge of the undead improves, (s)he is able to harness and divert more powerful spirits to inhabit the corpses of the recently dead. Some say that skeleton eyes contain magical properties, despite the fact that skeletons are eyeless by definition.
  • Skeletons are a sub-species of the Undead in the bestiary of Guild Wars. Like most undead creatures, they take double damage from Holy damage. They also suffer extra damage from blunt weapons (-20AL) and reduced damage from piercing weapons (+20 AL) Skeletons are rotten to the bones, so there is no flesh left, which means Skeletons are immune against all skills that target flesh and immune against conditions such as bleeding, poison and disease. Also, they do not leave a corpse that can be exploited by Necromancers. A large sub-group of Skeletons is the Skeleton Army found in the Fissure of Woe.

  • Some are reanimated Skeletons, some are violent and will attack the living wielding weapons and armor. Others are affected by music, especially, "Them Dry Bones", and will dance uncontrollably to it. Skeletons in the Dimension of Death are the Guards of the realm. They're smart, fast, and often run in groups made up of archers, mace-wielders and swordsmen (carrying broadswords), making a challenge for even the most experienced adventurer. Connor had his first encounter with skeletons just after he defeated the Shadow Bane. They warned him that mortals could not enter Lord Azriel's sanctum. It didn't take long for Connor to defeat them. He found even more skeletons just after he got past the gate into the Compound of Death, scattered throughout the compound. A particularly large group guarded a chest that contained the Square Golden Key. But they generally could be found everywhere. The Skeleton can be found among the silent stones and trackless passages in the City of the Dead. These warrior spirits are a dangerous reminder of mortality... in more ways than one! Each Skeleton warrior has carried his chosen weapon - either a sword, mace or crossbow -- into the nether realm. All three weapons are very dangerous. Once must watch the shadows for these animated horrors, as they will often attack from the cover of darkness. Fortunately, keen ears can save an adventurer's skin, for the Skeleton cannot move silently -- his bones clatter upon the stones as he walks. A single Skeleton poses little danger, as individuals are not difficult to defeat, but woe betide the adventurer who allows them to attack in a group! Noisy in death as well as in their pale parody of life, these creatures collapse with a satisfying bony rattle when sufficiently damaged. Adventures are reminded to don't forget to search the remains of a fallen Skeleton, as they often carry useful trophies for the victorious adventurer. The skeletons in the Dimension of Death are lead by the Commander Skeletons.

Inside the room, you will find a requiem casket, and bumping it open will reward you with the Skeleton item.
  • Skeletons are the animated bones of the dead, mindless automatons that obey the orders of their evil masters. A skeleton is seldom garbed in anything more than the rotting remnants of any clothing or armor it was wearing when slain. A skeleton does only what it is ordered to do. • Skeletons are exactly what they sound like: animated piles of bone driven by a rage demon. They are mindless creatures that wander aimlessly, or lie dormant near the site of their “first death” till living beings walk near. Their unreasoning fury can be terrible to behold. Skeletons simply attack all living targets and continue to do so, never wavering until they are smashed to pieces. If they originally came from a battlefield and have a weapon, they will attempt to use it. Otherwise, they’ll simply claw at their foes with broken finger bones, gouging away any flesh they can reach. Like corpses and other undead, the demon possessing a skeleton will likely die off once its host dies, as the skeleton lacks the lifeforce required for the demon to break through the Veil and go back into its Fade realm. As such, the heavily wounded skeletons will often leak the grayish-black substance (exactly the same as the one that makes up the body of the shade.) • The skeleton is the collective name for all the bones in the human body. Differences between male and female skeletons are subtle. In the male, bones tend to be longer and stronger for individuals of the same age and weight. In females, the pelvis is optimized for childbirth. Diseases that affect the skeleton as a whole rather than individual bones or groups of bones are arthritis and osteoporosis.
