  • Barbarians are usually fought by lower-levelled players for relatively easy experience. Although they hit low, they are somewhat accurate. It should be noted that the barbarians can have different weapons, most of which are non-existent for players, and they vary in accuracy against certain armour types. If a player is like most melee fighters, attacking a Barbarian while wearing plate armour, they should avoid the barbarians wielding hammers and try to only fight the ones with spears and swords. A barbarian woman can be interviewed during the Barbarians v. Wizards court case.

  • Barbarians are mighty warriors who rely on their strength and incredible toughness to win battles. As handy with a weapon as a fighter, they become tougher and more agile as they become more powerful. The most distinctive aspect of barbarians is their ability to 'rage'. When they rage, barbarians become stronger and are able to shrug off the nastiest of attacks.
  • Alignment restrictions: Any non-lawful. Barbarians are wild at heart. * Ex-barbarians = A barbarian who becomes lawful loses the ability to gain more levels as a barbarian. He retains all the other benefits of the class (damage reduction, fast movement, trap sense, and uncanny dodge).
  • The barbarian is a primal warrior who prefers to charge in to engage foes in melee. They can follow either the Path of the Berserker, focusing on dealing as much damage as possible in melee combat, or the Path of the Totem Warrior, accepting an animal as a spiritual guide for a more druid-like experience.

  • Barbarians are savage warriors who deal out powerful blows from their mighty weapons. They charge from foe to foe and seldom feel the pain of an enemy?s strike. For many, a barbarian channeling their primal power into a battle rage is the most terrifying thing they will ever see. These rages, although temporary, give a barbarian incredible and devastating powers. Primary Stat: Strength. Hit Points gained per level: 6.

  • The following are chages in the Barbarian class from its listing in Paizo material.
  • Barbarians were warriors from Dromund Kaas. Around 36,400 BBY, they sided with Sith Sorcerer Cluj during the Coup of Dromund Kaas. • Barbarians are strong creatures that often serve as the front-line attacker on the battlefield. Their prime strength is the ability to battle with the enemies during melee skirmishes. They mainly rely on their brute strength during attacks. There are four types of Barbarians. The Panda, The Tiger, The Wolf, and The Lion.
  • Barbarians are brutal warriors that use their sheer strength as a tool to adventure. They are mobile, powerful and skilled with weapons, and their signature ability, rage, allows them to let their martial power take over, granting them amazing prowess on the battlefield.

  • Barbarian is the "monster upgrade" of Berserker and Rogue.

  • Barbarian is one of 31 playable characters as well as an early enemy in the game Castle Crashers. His magic is based on weapons, with arrows, battleaxes, and polearms falling out of the sky when he uses his power. His default weapon is the Barbarian Ax. He wears a mask that has a long crack through it. This is not visible in-game, however. Barbarian's specialties include combo locking, and basic boss slaying.
  • Barbarians can be excellent warriors. While not as disciplined or as skilled as a normal fighter, the barbarian can willingly throw himself into a berserker rage, becoming a tougher and stronger opponent. Barbarians can't use plate mail armor, like the other three warrior classes. They use the fighter avatar for their appearance. In Throne of Bhaal, the Barbarian can draw from a high level ability pool which gives the barbarian some extra abilities. This class is available in Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn, Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition and Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition
  • A Barbarian is an Untamed class. Their fighting style is mainly physical, with little to no elemental; they take the damage in place of their teammates. At level 9, after raising their Spiritual Cultivation to Spiritual Adept, they can learn the True Form skill, which they can use to turn into a white tiger. Their True Form is an animal form, and in that sense it is similar to a Venomancer's Fox Form. • __TOC__ Barbarians of Golarion hail from the dark places of the world where civilization has failed or has yet to tread. From dusty wastes, ominous jungles, and cold wastelands these mighty warriors brave both beast and climes to earn their place in the world. Barbarians use an inborn rage to gain power over their foes. Brutally strong, tough, and resourceful, a barbarian is to be feared in individual combat, even by the most highly trained of warriors.
  • The barbarian is a ferocious warrior. He/She is uncivilized and brutal, relying on instincts, anger and raw physical might instead of tactics or fancy swordsmanship. His/Her rage is frightening to behold, and it allows him/her to smash apart his/her enemies while ignoring all but the most brutal blows. He/She has a connection with nature's primal elements; this class is most commonly found among races that dwell in the wild.
  • The Barbarians of Dragon's Gate are pure combat specialists, capable of dealing out large amounts of damage to their intended victims. They are a less civilized type of warrior than the Fighter class. They are the only class that can attack multiple times in a single round of combat - a skill called Berserk. This happens when the Barbarian is hurt sufficiently in combat, and when the attack is over it leaves the player extremely tired. While berserking, a Barbarian loses almost total control, is barely able to communicate or interact with others, as their desire to kill is all-encompassing.

  • Barbarian- Is a selectable job in Soul Calibur III for created characters. It's selectable weapons include- Wave Sword, Grieve Edge, Great Sword, Soul of Nightmare, and Soul of Astaroth. As the name of the job implies, the Barbarian job is mainly a warrior class relying on strength. A barbarian's initial equipment while creating a character seems to look like that the character is a warrior from maybe a northern tribe, wearing furs and having blond hair. Overall, the Barbarian discipline favors using Zweihanders (which also includes Soul of Nightmare).
  • Barbarians are nomadic warriors who journey across the vast lands of the world, often making their livings as mercenaries. Devoting their lives to the improvement of their bodies, Barbarians strive to reach a state of physical perfection. They tend to be the most powerful class of fighters, relying upon brute strength to crush their opponents. Years of endurance training give Barbarians the ability to heal their wounds very quickly, although they are also experts at defensive techniques. A Barbarian's primary attribute is Strength.
• Armor-Medium Barb’s are strong brutal warriors that specialize in destroying their targets with heavy attacks. They use only Axes, Maces, and Medium Armor but their very high HP count can make them good Tanks in groups. Their high HP is largely increased by battling Unarmed with their fists due to Pillage. They also have abilities that generate high threat that also require the character to be unarmed. Pillage can be increased up to +60% HP with Vigor Specialization. Most of their DPS attacks are few and with long cooldowns but very strong. There exists pairs of like abilities each for Mace and Axe generally matching each other but differing in areas. Fist DPS (Brawn) focuses mainly on speed rather than brute strength like Rage does.
  • Barbarians are fearsome brutes who inspire fear and dread in the hearts of their enemies. Most commonly associated with Nords, Orcs or Redguards, they are much like a storm, swift and powerful. Barbarians have learned to fight in order to survive the harsh life of their wasteland homes. Finding little use for heavy armor, they rely on smashing their foes into the ground.
  • Barbarians also have a wide number of debuffs, crowd control skills, and can provide supportive shouts for allies. The price to pay for all this is their armor, which at lower levels provides weaker defense when compared to other classes. This makes barbarians as equally vulnerable as the ranged targets they choose to engage. To summarize, barbarians are for those who prefer quick, fast paced combat; kill or get killed.
  • History can be confusing - but that's because so much of it happened in the past. Like most historical notions, one man’s barbarian is another man’s rapacious neighbour, so who is to say what constitutes a barbarian? It may be instructive, then, to take an overview of those cultures generally referred to by Classical historians as “Barbarians", many of whom eventually set out to attack their supposed betters in Rome itself.
  • "Stop crying like a woman, I've said I'll not kill you. Not this day, at least. Cease also your "sorry-ing", for I am not offended. You fear the Northman, this needs no apology. Stop hiding - stand tall, with your face in the sun, as a man should stand. My kinsmen and I have a bloody business farther south, and we save our strength and our blades for our enemies. Once we have enough food for the journey, we'll trouble you no more. You Southlanders, with your walls and your letters, you shall always amaze me. Your hands take to craft, but your arms and hearts have withered. Your lives are so easy and your bellies so full you have forgotten the first gift the All-Father gave you: strength, and will like iron. I am a Northman, born in the lands of savage cold. • Barbarians are strong melee fighters who start the game with poison resistance. Because barbarians can fight their way through situations that would kill other players, and because they need not worry about poison, they are one of the easier roles for a new player. When a barbarian starts the game with a dog, the dog is always named Idefix. Barbarians can be either neutral or chaotic, and can be either humans or orcs. According to the guidebook:
  • The term barbarian referred to an individual who acted with a rash destructive nature, often involving loot and pillage as a means to achieve their aims. On Earth, the term was originally used in Ancient Greece. When Captain Braxton was stranded on Earth in the late-20th century, he referred to the residents as being "post-industrial barbarians." (VOY: "Future's End") Later, in describing the experience to Seven of Nine, he stated "After three decades with those post-industrial barbarians I had to go through extensive rehabilitation before I could return to duty." (VOY: "Relativity")
  • A playable race, the literal descendants of Erollisi Marr, the goddess of love. Barbarians, also known as Northmen, were created when the god of dreams, Morell Thule, impregnated Erollisi using one half of her brother Mithaniel's divine Gift of Life (the other half of which was used to create the Frogloks). The Queen of Love was tended to by the elves she was staying with at the time, and eventually gave birth to the first of a new mortal race. These were the first Barbarians.
  • The following traits are common to original barbarians and berserkers. * Weapon proficiencies: Simple melee, Military melee * Bonus to defenses: +2 Fortitude * Hit points: 15 + Constitution score at 1st level, plus 6 each additional level * Healing surges per Day: 8 + Constitution modifier Characteristics: You combine powerful melee attacks with an excellent ability to absorb damage. You gain tremendous bursts of power through mighty rages. You have unusually high hit points for your role, making you more durable than other strikers.
  • Barbarians are monsters which are mostly found in the Barbarian Village. They have a combat level of 16. Attempting to talk to one yields a message saying either "ug", "grr", "the barbarian grunts", "the barbarian ignores you" or something else. Sometimes you will have a small conversation with them, after saying "Hello", the barbarian asks "Who are you?. You then say "I'm a bold adventurer" and the barbarian responds "You don't look very strong". There are also some barbarians that will sell you items and are non-aggressive (such as Peksa, who owns a helmet shop).
  • The hardy race of Barbarians, or Northmen, use their wisdom and formidable brawn to defend honor and justice. Their magnificent stature is a sight to behold; even more so when it is unleashed in battle. Barbarians are one of the tallest races to walk the lands of Norrath. As a tribal culture, Barbarians are a little rough around the edges when it comes to interactions with other races. Even the Barbarians' mannerisms and features have a rugged quality.
  • Barbarians hail from the harsh northern lands of Ancardia, from the roughest mountain peaks, the wildest hills and the most remote forests. What they lack in equipment, they more than equalize with their great strength, enormous toughness and deadly weaponry. Barbarians are very well experienced in the arts of battle and are well prepared to cope with the dangers of the wilderness. Barbarians are trained in the following skills: Athletics, Climbing, Dodge, First Aid, Herbalism, Stealth, Survival, Swimming, Two Weapon Combat, and Woodcraft. High-level barbarians are fearsome fighters.

Description
  • This Trophy will show your enemies that you are capable of the best actions known to man, and the most evil, and that you prefer the latter. And they will weep, forsooth.
  • A savage tribe that is completely removed from the civilized world.
Note that the energy point costs of the mighty and tremendous blow are appropriately modified by the weapon skill of your melee weapon. *Keep in mind that barbarians are by default illiterate and cannot use scrolls, spellbooks, or the bridge building manual.

If a player is like most melee fighters, attacking a Barbarian while wearing plate armour, they should avoid the barbarians wielding hammers and try to only fight the ones with spears and swords.
They are the wild warriors of the steppes and wastes, they are the brutal berserkers and axe wielders of the orcs and the frightening, tattooed warriors of feral dwarven clans and human outcasts. Orcs and trolls have a strong history of favoring barbarians as fighters. The class' focus on anger suits the orcs well, especially when their demonic bloodlust overtakes them. Since the orcs have thrown off the shackles of the Burning Legion, this class is becoming less common among them, but it is still a noble and respected path. Trolls live in the wilds, and their strongest fighters are barbarians. This class is less common among other races. Individuals who live far from civilization and those who allow their fury to guide them often become barbarians. Tauren and night elves are somewhat likely to become barbarians, as these races have close ties with Azeroth's wilderness. Barbarians are commonly seen among savage humanoids, such as ogres, gnolls, and furbolgs. Some humans and half-orcs may have adopted a barbaric lifestyle on Kalimdor.
  • The dimension has various levels of culture ranging from the primitive to medieval, with the most advanced inhabiting city state monarchies. The practice of magic is well developed, with numerous sorcerers being known, and remnants of the scientific technology of Kingdom of Atlantis can also be found. Skartaris is overrun by a variety of prehistoric creatures from all geological eras, notably dinosaurs, and as such has a reputation for being a very savage place to live This set has Item Level ?? and is obtained from various tier 1 to tier 3 content. The set is also available as Attuned Gear with Item Levels 145 to 163 from doing content from the Amazon Fury Part III episode. __TOC__
A Barbarian's normal form has a human body, but a head with features of the animal of the player's choice -- wolf, panda, lion, or tiger. Most of the weapons in the game are available for Barbarians to choose: dual swords, dual blades, blades, swords, scythes, spears, clubs, poleaxes, sledgehammers, dual handaxes, dual hammers, and fist weapons. Barbarians specialize in attracting the attention of the enemy and keeping the enemy attacks directed against their heavily armored selves, away from their more lightly armored squad mates. To this end, gear that reduces damage, already powerful, becomes a tool that they can use best. Examples: The "Warding Level +3" on Beastlord Roar Mail (Warding, like Slaying Level, is not effective in combat against other players though) The "Physical Defense +170" on the Drakeflame Stone Gem The "Reduce physical damage taken +3%" on The Book of Congratulations Tome The "Defense level +1" on Badge of the Cube Heavy Armor: ~ 2.5 Strength, ~ .5 Dexterity per level (another factor that helps is to add 4 or 5 points; this helps take up the slack for armor pieces that are irregular in their requirements as well) Axe: ~ 3 points Strength / level Polearm: ~ 2.5 Whereas Blademasters are tied to satisfying Strength and Dexterity requirements for multiple weapon types in order to use their skills, Barbarian is tied to only two; both largely Strength-based: Axe at 3 strength per level, and Polearm at 2.5, the same as Heavy Armor. Unfortunately, this does not mean choosing Polearm allows additional points to be put into Vitality, as Polearms require more Dexterity. But this does mean that foregoing Axe skills would allow a character to evade more and hit more accurately. This is not necessarily superior, the point is that it can be done. Some player feedback points to Sage and Demon, defensive and offensive, as being equal in duels between them, so the choice may not be so clear cut as it may seem. In other words, it might seem obvious that Barbarian's defensive strengths should be maximized, but in practical terms, this alone will not win the battle. Barbarians' who wish to compensate for their lower Dexterity may choose a gear-based solution such as the Sky Cover or its precursor the Chaotic Sign of Frost or its descendant Star's Destiny or the cheap alternative, Misty Forest Ring; percentage bonuses are always powerful at high levels, and these increase Accuracy by a %.
  • Barbarians in Polaqu don't differ much from the standard PHB barbarians.
  • The barbarians within the Ancient Cavern are level 132. The barbarians at barbarian village are combat level 10 but the ones inside the hall are level 17 (except Gunthor who is the strongest barbarian in the village at level 29).
  • This describes the Barbarian Faction in FFH2. Many Heros and Events are keyed off of them. Some Civilizations have a Barbarian trait, that allow them to start at peace with this "Civilization", everyone else is right away at War with them.
Barbarians are masters of all forms of armed and unarmed combat. Once experienced, they are able to attack much faster than their enemies, and tend to do more damage with each blow. Because axes can cleave through opponents with the greatest force, they are the preferred weapons of most Barbarians. Other bladed weapons are also popular, including daggers, swords, spears, and halberds. While Barbarians believe that it is somewhat cowardly to use axes and spears as throwing weapons, they are still trained to fight with them in this manner. Various tribes of Barbarians can be found in different parts of the world. While they seldom battle against each other, two tribes sometimes end up fighting as hired mercenaries on opposites sides of a war. Young Barbarians wishing to test their abilities often travel to Tellerium, a city located on the continent of Avros. Because its residents distrust the use of magic, Tellerium is the perfect place to hone combat skill. A Barbarian's primary attribute is Strength.
  • Barbarian in Xeen may refer to: * Barbarian (Clouds), the monster fought in MM4, Clouds of Xeen * Barbarian (Darkside), the monster fought in MM5, Darkside of Xeen
This class is available in Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn, Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition and Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition Any race can become a barbarian. Despite Barbarians showing up in BG2 under Fighter class along with other Fighter kit options, Barbarians are for all intents and purposes treated as an independent class and cannot dual-class.
  • Alignment: Any nonlawful. Hit Die: d12.
  • All Barbarians attack at close-quarters with their physical damage weapons. Barbarians also have high resistances to Poison, Disease, Paralysis.

  • The following are chages in the Barbarian class from its listing in Paizo material.
"A warrior from the frontier who refuses to rely on modern technology. Crushes the enemy with brute physical strength garnered from nature and has a raw instinct for survival."
  • History can be confusing - but that's because so much of it happened in the past. Like most historical notions, one man’s barbarian is another man’s rapacious neighbour, so who is to say what constitutes a barbarian? The word "Barbarian" is of Greek origin and originally referred to any culture which re-used wedding cutlery instead of offering it to Prometheus by hurling it to the floor. Interestingly, “Barbarian” arrived in English from Medieval Latin and shares a stem with “Barber” – since the Catholic Church saw the practise of ritually slaying customers and rendering them into sausage as dangerously close to trans-substantiation. It is perhaps inevitable then that we think of barbarians primarily as those tribes who violently opposed the Roman Empire. The Romans themselves took a pragmatic approach to the term and applied “Barbarian” to any culture other than their own, though few other peoples of the time could compete with ancient Rome’s sophisticated level of culture. Which other ancient tribe could claim to have introduced millions to the wonders of sanitation and universal civil law while simultaneously slaughtering its way across three continents, enslaving entire nations, feeding interesting new religious groups to wild animals and decorating their extensive road-network with the crucified corpses of uppity slaves? It may be instructive, then, to take an overview of those cultures generally referred to by Classical historians as “Barbarians", many of whom eventually set out to attack their supposed betters in Rome itself.
  • thumb|Orczy barbarzyńcaBarbarzyńca to bezlitosny wojownik.
  • Barbarians were warriors from Dromund Kaas. Around 36,400 BBY, they sided with Sith Sorcerer Cluj during the Coup of Dromund Kaas. After the formation of the Crimson Empire, the first Sith Empire, they continued working as part of its navy. During the Sith War, they raided many Republic Navy vessels.

We cannot forget, or we would surely die. The ice in the North never sleeps, and the Joten and Aurochmengr - as you would say, Giants and the Minotaurs, do not take prisoners. Be glad that we do. Ah, here is my brother Egil Flat-Nosed. I thank you for your generous gifts of food and drink, they will sustain us long in our raiding. And now, little man, so you may not warn our prey, it is time for you to die. What's that? I am no oathbreaker, you pasty-faced sow's whelp! I gave my oath I would not kill you, but Egil never did. Take heart! Egil is a strong one - you'll be done quick, and without much pain." -Chronicle.ubi.com Temporary till updated
  • In addition to the male Barbarian, a female version of the character is now available. She is depicted as a muscular woman with striking red-orange hair. The backstory of the female character is yet to be revealed.. Gameplay footage released by Blizzard has extensively featured the male Barbarian.
In RuneScape 2, Barbarians use their axe as a two-handed weapon. However, in RuneScape Classic, the barbarians use their axe as a one-handed weapon. Also, in RuneScape 2, Barbarians appear to wear a Bronze Medium Helmet. In RuneScape Classic, they appear to wear a Steel Medium Helmet. There are also some barbarians that will sell you items and are non-aggressive (such as Peksa, who owns a helmet shop). Barbarians are good to train on and there is meat and beer located at the village, so you can get a food source there. Many people get normal barbarians and Gunthor the Brave mixed up and accidently click on him. If you aren't of a decent level and you accidently click him, retreat as soon as possible.

  • The barbarians were a term used by the Romans for any people not in their Empire who did not use Latin or Greek. Barbarians included the Germanic tribes, the Scythians, the Samartaians, and others.
Barbarians are uncivilized, but not savage. They have complex social structures and codes that might seem strange to an outsider, but are no less important to them than a tax code to a follower of the Prophesies. Barbarian tribes rarely have a written language, relying strongly on symbols and pictures. Barbarians wear clothing native to their home regions; the colder places, for instance, mean thick furs and many layers of leather and skins. In most cases the barbarian tribes are strongly ritualized, using common objects such as bones and sticks, and most also include tattoos as symbols.

  • Barbarian is a group of squads that invade territories possesed by a player won while fighting single player missions. They usually attack 1 territory daily and is cumulative. To drive them back three groups of barbarians must be defeated. Defeating each group of squads give 500 experience and 100 silver, regardless of number of failures in challenging. Invaded territories do not give any silver as daily award until after driving them back. The territories that are invaded on the same day do give daily silver. Although the cards generated for barbarian squads are totally random, the faction and cards is limited by which territory is invaded. Also barbarians do not change squads on the same day until they are defeated, or defeats the player for too many times. If the barbarians defeat you 4 times, thier squads usually change. The key to keeping it easy is to only keep one squad, even when you log out. The barbarians will mirror you and only present one squad. Once you know the makeup of the one squad, switch to slayers if possible. But as you make new squads, remember to delete the old one. If you beat the first wave and have two or more squads, the next wave(s) will mirror the amount you have in the "bank." Also, this makes it easier for friends to fight you when you log out. So it's friendly. Also, it is possible to have higher tiers card (better rarity) in barbarian cards, contradicting to Daily Campaigns. The barbarians on St. Patrick's day are all including human and elf squard, as also Leprechaun inside the squad. The barbarians on monster pack release on Facebook.com are all demons, as also Pyre Fiend in the squad. The demon barbarians were available only during 26 October to 2 November, 2010. The demon barbarians except a secret factor, when a player is prompted to use more squads to fight barbarians with missing icons of squad, the hidden squad(s) would be actually vamipre squad, consisting of Lady Raiven, Spider Swarm x2, Vampire, Vampire Spawn x2, and Mist Form, all at lower rarity. This phenomenon only happened on 2 November, 2010 and has been fixed.
Barbarians typically utilize any level of armor, and are adept with all weapons and shields. Barbarians tend to have a natural immunity to poisons. Due to their incredible physical condition, barbarians tend to heal quickly and have higher than normal health points.

  • The Barbarian is a powerhouse melee fighting class known for their ability to go berserk with rage, though they are not known for their subtlety. A Barbarian's Guild is located within a small town in the Redmountain Hills, near the Dungeon of Dorukan.
  • Barbarians are the foremost experts on wilderness survival and many are skilled fighters due to their rough living conditions. Though they are typically courageous, they are also typically uncivilized.
  • The Barbarian was a main character during the Clash of Clones 2014 Event. He was unlocked for free at the start of the event.
  • The term barbarian referred to an individual who acted with a rash destructive nature, often involving loot and pillage as a means to achieve their aims. On Earth, the term was originally used in Ancient Greece. When Captain Braxton was stranded on Earth in the late-20th century, he referred to the residents as being "post-industrial barbarians." (VOY: "Future's End") Later, in describing the experience to Seven of Nine, he stated "After three decades with those post-industrial barbarians I had to go through extensive rehabilitation before I could return to duty." (VOY: "Relativity") When a group of Triannons seized control of Enterprise NX-01, their leader, Pri'Nam D'Jamat, stated that it might sound barbaric to the Enterprise crew, but it didn't matter how many heretics died. (ENT: "Chosen Realm") When visiting Eminiar VII, Captain James T. Kirk was called a barbarian by Anan 7. (TOS: "A Taste of Armageddon" ) When several crewmembers from the ISS Enterprise were accidentally beamed to the USS Enterprise, Commander Spock found it easy to identify them, stating to Captain Kirk that "It was far easier for you as civilized men to behave like barbarians, than it was for them to behave like civilized men." (TOS: "Mirror, Mirror" ) In 2370, Intendant Kira Nerys referred to 23rd century mirror universe Terrans as barbarians. (DS9: "Crossover") The phrase was routinely used on planet 892-IV to describe outsiders to the Roman Empire, especially those of the crew of the SS Beagle who could not adapt. (TOS: "Bread and Circuses" ) Since the episode makes clear that the Romans did not know about extra-terrestrial life, the phrase seems to imply that there were parts of their planet which are not under the control of the Roman Empire. Deanna Troi referred to Q as a barbarian after he froze Natasha Yar when she spoke out during the crew of the USS Enterprise-D's trial for the crimes of Humanity. (TNG: "Encounter at Farpoint" ) In 2364, the Anticans referred to Humans as "barbaric" upon learning that Humans ate replicated meat. (TNG: "Lonely Among Us" ) That same year, Victoria Miller referred to the Betazoid wedding ritual as a "barbaric ceremony". (TNG: "Haven" ) In 2373, Barry Waddle described Klingons as "foul-smelling barbarians". (DS9: "Trials and Tribble-ations") In 2374, a hologram of Weyoun told Julian Bashir that the Dominion did not torture Bashir into becoming a spy for them as the Dominion were not barbarians. (DS9: "Inquisition") In the comic "Domain of the Dragon God!", Spock was referred to as "Spock the Barbarian".
Religion: Most barbarians revere the primal spirits of the natural world rather than calling on the gods of the Astral Sea. Some barbarians don’t see conflict between the gods and the primal spirits and therefore honor deities of nature or warfare in addition to the primal spirits. These barbarians often revere Kord, Melora, Avandra, or the Raven Queen. Evil or chaotic evil barbarians turn to Gruumsh or, more rarely, Bane or Zehir. Races: Goliaths are ideal rageblood barbarians. Dragonborn make excellent thaneborn barbarians. Half-orcs are often barbarians but don’t favor either of the two types. Dwarf and shifter barbarians tend to be rageblood barbarians, while halfling and half-elf barbarians choose the thaneborn path.
  • Role: Barbarians excel in combat, possessing the martial prowess and fortitude to take on foes seemingly far superior to themselves. With rage granting them boldness and daring beyond that of most other warriors, barbarians charge furiously into battle and ruin all who would stand in their way. • Special Part(s): Barbarian is a common class mod for the Psycho, added in Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep and manufactured by Bandit. The Barbarian class mod can only be obtained from treasure chests found within that DLC.
  • Barbarians are skirmish units and one of the three units that can capture structures (the other two are the Barbarian Chieftain and the Barbarian Spear Woman.)
To a Barbarian, success in battle is the goal, and rarely the context of the battle, nor who wins, is significant.
The Barbarians consider themselves superior to other inhabitants of Norrath, particularly the Tier'Dal and Erudites, which are viewed as pathetically weak. Barbarians have a special place in their hearts for the Dwarves of Kaladim whom they view as steadfast and brave. The high quality of Dwarven mead may also have some influence on the cordial relationship between the two races. Ogres, Trolls, Dark Elves, and other evil races are hated, as they directly oppose the Barbarians' sense of justice.
  • Barbarians were mighty warriors who rely on their strength and incredible toughness, characterized by a bestial rage empowered either by ancestral totems and nature spirits or an inner passion for violence. Barbarians were less versatile than fighters but were tougher and capable of dealing heavy damage to their foes much more quickly. The most famous barbarian of Toril was likely Wulfgar, friend and companion to Drizzt Do'Urden.
  • Requirements : All but Half-Ogres Description : You were raised among a wild barbarian tribe in a far land. No one knows how or why you came to be a passenger aboard to IFS Zephyr, but given your ferocious demeanor, no one tried to find out. You gain +2 Strength and +1 Constitution and a +1 to Melee, while suffering -1 Intelligence, -2 Charisma, and a -2 to Haggle. You also possess barbarian armor but less money than other characters.
  • A playable race, the literal descendants of Erollisi Marr, the goddess of love. Barbarians, also known as Northmen, were created when the god of dreams, Morell Thule, impregnated Erollisi using one half of her brother Mithaniel's divine Gift of Life (the other half of which was used to create the Frogloks). The Queen of Love was tended to by the elves she was staying with at the time, and eventually gave birth to the first of a new mortal race. These were the first Barbarians. Barbarians are the direct ancestors of humans, and thus more distant ancestors of Erudites. They are native to the Northlands, the cold northern reaches of the continent of Antonica, and while they now live in many regions and climates throughout Norrath, that is still where the vast majority of Northmen are found. The center of their loosely-knit society is the city of Halas, situated on the shores of Loch Lir deep in the Everfrost Peaks. Barbarians are generally taller and more muscular than their human relatives, roughly on par with Vah Shir and Iksar in these respects. Most are fair-skinned, and they have roughly the same range of eye and hair colors as humans. Barbarians are generally characterized as a rough, somewhat primitive people, and while their society has advanced beyond a tribal level, they maintain many aspects of tribal culture even today. They are naturally warlike and have a strong affinity for combat, much like the ogres. However, unlike many ogres, Barbarians also have a strong sense of loyalty, honor, and justice, and admire these qualities in others. They are generally not a deeply intellectual or philisophical race, and even the religious among them tend to prefer simple, physical pleasures to intensive study or mental challenges. Northmen tend to distrust outsiders until they have proven themselves worthy of trust, and such trust is usually quite difficult to earn, especially for those of races often seen as evil. However, they do get along famously with dwarves, who share a very similar mindset and outlook. They are also the only serious rivals dwarves have regarding love of alcohol. Surprisingly, very few Barbarians remain who worship the Marr twins. The reasons for this are still not clearly understood, though many legends surround the phenomenon. Instead of Mithaniel or Erollisi, the majority of Northmen instead worship the Tribunal, the six gods of justice. Rallos Zek also has a strong following among them, especially their warriors and berserkers (in the latter case, this may have something to do with the ascension of Sullon Zek, who was a Barbarian in mortal life), and a fair number of Barbarian rogues worship Fizzlethorpe Bristlebane, though their society at large tends to look down on the King of Thieves as a dishonorable deity. Finally, a large segment of the Barbarian population is agnostic, a reflection of their general aversion to spiritual and intellectual matters. Classes supported by Barbarian culture at large include warrior, berserker, rogue, shaman, and beastlord. Their beastlords take on white wolves as their warders, while their rogues wield daggers made with masterfully-crafted, custom-designed handles.;
According to the guidebook: Barbarians are warriors out of the hinterland, hardened to battle. They begin their quests with naught but uncommon strength, a trusty hauberk, and a great two-handed sword.

  • The Barbarian (蛮族 or ばんぞく Banzoku, also known as Savages in TearRing Saga: Utna Heroes Saga) is a combat physical class of uncivilized Axe-wielders that recurrently appear across the Fire Emblem Series.
  • Barbarian is a magazine perk in Fallout 4. It has 10 ranks, each received by reading 10 different issues of Grognak the Barbarian.
  • Barbarians are a non-playable "civilization" that cannot win but instead go on rampages trying to destroy other civilizations. They can even capture unguarded cities. Barbarians may offer early advantages to players who defeat their villages.
Barbarians are the only class that have the ability to dual wield weapons. They may choose between equipping a two-handed weapon, or wielding a one-handed main weapon and an offhand weapon. In the dual wielding case, the main weapon determines the skills the Barbarian may use. Thus if wielding a one-handed main axe, and a hammer offhand, the Barbarian may only use the Slashing Discipline tree. Offhands are sold at the Barbarian weapons merchant in the capital cities, as well at the central save merchants in the War Zone.
